I was watching this video and you were using a daredevil colored Johnson silver minnow. That brings back so many memories, My dad and grandpa's used Johnson silver minnow spoons with Uncle Josh salted pork frogs, on Big Sandy lake in McGregor and Island Lake outside of Deer River about 45 years ago, they used to do really well. I love hearing your bait caster sing, reminds me of my grandpa's old Pflueger bait caster. I always amazed they didn't have more birds nests or how they even worked when I was a kid
I'm not a hunter, and I don't fish. I frequently skip to when you are at the tent and doing things there. I really like the way you do your videos, as you do it in such a way the viewer feels like they are standing right with you. You are fortunate to be able to do this. I had a similar plan for retirement, but life got in the way.

Hey Joe, I live on a acre of land and in my backyard we have the neighborhood rainwater runoff so my yard has tons of mosquitoes. I tried this product called Mosquito Barrier I found on TH-cam. It's like 100% concentrated garlic very organic. Me and the family have been enjoying the back and front yard without getting bit once. This product works great I recommend you try at the tent. I didn't think it would have any effect on free flying insects like mosquitoes but it does. Great video Joe.
Been watching your channel for a few years now and it's obvious you're one of those that does everything by the book. So it kinda ticked me off that you of all people got a ticket for your boat. He should of at least told you that you could fish for the time being and not ruin your trip out to the tent. Great channel and love your videos

DNR was probably watching your youtube videos and seen that their were no registration stickers on your boat and finally tracked down the lake you were on, just a theory. Other than that, great video! Shrimp/Crayfish boil looked delicious.
My wife and I grab some Louisiana crawfish shrimp & crab boil, throw some potatoes, frozen corn on the cobb, and some pearl onions. Let those get to almost done, toss in your shrimp, and boil according to directions on the bag. I think it's 3 min boiling and then let stand for 15-20 min after for shrimp. Can let it soak longer to get it hotter. It's not like grabbing a bag of bugs from a stand, but it gets us our fix up here in the PNW.

Yes. If you are only using them for duck hunting (like I originally did with The Tent boat) you do not. The DNR officer said you do not need them registered for waterfowl hunting or collecting wild rice. That boat has been at The Tent since pretty much the beginning. It is my fault.

do you use the Johnny's Season Salt or is there another kind? Thinking about buying some on Amazon but wanted to get the right kind. I Cant find here in louisville, ky
Did you try using a signal booster with the antenna? Might get you a few channels and they don't cost a lot. For the radio, If you use a component type receiver with a coax connector on the back you can use the TV antenna to get better reception for that too.

The new camera seems to really draw that sound forward compared to the old one. It also does not grab the light as well by the wood stove. Baby steps.

I bought the same antenna and it didn't do very well. I ended up buying the antop 400b antenna and it gets way better reception.
