Honestly, I think that instead of each ability draining the energy from the other abilities, like laser shot draining the energy from vortex shield and vice versa, only the splitter rifles secondary fire should drain the other abilities. This would mean that you could use all of Ions abilities without ever having to secondary fire, meaning you could have vortex shield and laser shot be much more versatile and effective in combat, as they each have their own cooldowns and such. This would mean that secondary fire still drains the energy from your abilities though, so you would have to use them much sparingly.

As an ion main I love recking legions with vortex amplifier. Just watch all their hp get reduced to atoms.
Counting: bum bum bum and activating Vortex shield while fighting with tonę it's fun too
And switching off shield for 0,00001 sec when fighting with northstar

I think the splitter rifle is seriously leaving something to be desired when in primary fire mode.
Yeah, the splitter rifle's primary mode is more like you just doing *something* when you run out of energy while in a Titan vs Titan fight

I use secondary fire, just not as a primary weapon. It's great against pilots and low health titans
so uh dont attack me.
