This is great. My father was blind from the age of 14 and I regularly witnessed how he was treated differently to others. He achieved a great deal in life and in some ways his blindness helped him as he valued his hearing and focused on what he had that many others take for granted.

This should be essential public viewing, really.

Emmy Jones I agree. I'd like to see this during adverts on the main tv channels.

As a 49 year old disabled person I can identify with all the issues mentioned here. I was disabled teenager in the 1980's and it was, for want of a better word, shit then. No ramps, automatic doors, kneeling buses, taxis for wheelchairs. Nothing. Motability had only just started and automatic cars were hard to find.

If you havent, could you post up videos about "hidden" disabilities like Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, depression and PTSD?

We have a lot of stories about hidden disabilities on our blog, but we seem to not have a specific video on that yet. Your suggestion is brilliant and we'll consider for further videos. It would be lovely if you could submit your stories on our website: www.scope.org.uk/awkward/stories

People who you've only just met who want your mobile number?! Creepy!
Also people who tell me my wheelchair looks like "fun".
And NO! I don't know your sisters boyfriends cousin because they are in a chair. It's NOT a club! Really!!

Sunny Days this comment made my day 😂😂😂

Sunny Days 😂😂 i just read your comment again and I literally lolled. I'm laughing because sometimes people who aren't disabled (myself included) can be so ignorant.
I'm originally from Kenya and Ive met people who ask me if I know their cousin's ex girlfriend's brother who once visited the country in the year 1995.
      You're welcome louise 😊

Does he take sugar?. So happens, we are out, people speak above my head to my wife "how does he manage" My stock answer is "It's my legs that don't work, not my ears.

I have high functioning autism and if I say that to people most of them either say 'you don't look autistic!' Or 'are you a genius then?!' It's kinda funny now I've got used to it but it used to really annoy me!

I really like the blonde one, she is so funny. I also don't know why people ask all the stupid questions , like, i thought humans were spoused to be inteligante?
