To be fair I think I was being a little bit of a bad team player by not changing off Mcree in that first round. Although I really disagree that just because someone normally plays support in competitive, that they can never play anything else. FREEDOM FOR ALLLLL!

People pick fights on Overwatch for no reason.. hard to get involved. I think that's partially why most people don't bother with voice chat or regular chat in casual play.
There was this preteen (11, maybe) using his mic, and he said a few words, but wasn't being annoying or disrespectful. Then this guy who's clearly late teens or early 20s starts berating and harassing him, completely unprovoked. Srsly? Grow a fucking pair. Probably some nerd with a power complex who bullies children to feel good about himself.

I had a game not so long ago, someone got toxic because I asked if I could go dva.. than I did the mistake and turned my mic on to ask him why is he so toxic... problem is I sound like an 8 year old boy(I’m 22...) He got so angry... than I did another mistake and tried to explain that my voice sounds like that, but I’m not a kid. We lost that game.. I’m pretty sure he blamed me on that(my game crushed right at the defeat screen)

Golden guns are a motivation booster, it makes you psychologically play that specific hero better

Global warming is hot arcade and custom games are definitely the most fun and in that sense, the most rewarding. They’re all my friends and I actually play anymore because that’s where the people who are actually able to lighten up and have fun are

Here's the way I've seen it: the first 2 that pick dps fill those roles, and as long as they are doing a good job, there's no reason to complain or ask for a switch. After all, you can fill in those needed roles instead of complaining that someone won't swap.

Daniel Korolev I know its not the most fair thought process, but with many things involving choice, the early bird gets the worm. Of course concerning internet issues, I get that problem too. The most fair would be for everyone to cooperate, be willing to flex/switch when necessary, and give dps to who is the best for the job. But in a game where everyone wants to do what they think is their best and have the most fun for them, the person that gets the pick first (in most cases a dps) should be eligible to have that role. If they aren't performing well, they should switch to a more suitable role, but ultimately they picked first and everyone following should do their best to aid that person in their role choice.

As a support/tank main in competitive, when I see that dps has already been picked, I recognise that they got the pick first and that I should try to help them. Though I know its not always ideal, its usually very effective for me.

When I first started playing overwatch, I wasn’t the greatest, and this 16-20 year old *_boi_* CAME FOR ME in voice chat and said that he “didn’t know what I was doing”. I’m glad he made those rude comments because it only made me want to get 1000% better at the game.

Honestly though, about your comment I agree. But you have to consider being in his shoes. I also complain about healing whenever I'm not playing support cause it's like somehow whenever I'm not support I never get healed when it matters.
They heal me when I'm missing 10 hp but when I'm suddenly down to 5 hp no heals.
It's that scenario over and over again. And you start to feel a bit salty.
But then from a support perspective it's like I got 5 people to look after and depending on which healer I picked I may only be able to look after one at a time. I gotta make my priorities on who to heal first and maybe in the team fights your just not on the top of the list.
I think instead of taking it personally, you just take it as more of a "said out of anger thing". Things you might not really mean but you say it anyway to calm yourself down after getting completely rekt.
It's like cussing after you hurt yourself, it takes a bit of the pain and frustration away.
