      id like to know if there is a certain order for solving the unknown variables.
      Since if we could have started by solving Q before V @21:40 we could be using the assumed values of V2 instead of the new value of V2 obtained.

    I am a little confused on the part when you put values in the formulas of Vi^r and so on but still this video has helped me a lot in clearing the concept and the working of this method ...Thankyou so much Sir

    Sir if q limit violated so while calculating v3(1) ,should I take v3(0) as 1.04 or 1 as it has loosed its pv nature??

    Another doubt is that, suppose we have a network with PQ and PV buses and we have Q limits e.g. 1.0

      Yes, we need to check the Q-limits in each iteration. It will be treated as PQ bus in that particular iteration only (where it has violated Q-limits). For more details, you may watch following video lectures on Gauss-Seidel method of Load Flow:

    Sir in case of load bus the bus specifications Ie, p and Q values are in opposite signs then how to solve that problem sir... Hoping quick reply.. Having exam

      P and Q will be substituted with their sign (whether signs are same or opposite)

    Hello sir,
    I have a doubt... Suppose out of n buses (1- slack, m-PQ and n-m-1:PV) we run PF... Now if on one of the PV buses (lets say j between m+1 & n) the Q-limit violates, then we convert it to PQ bus... Now, do we keep it as same bus no. j in between m+1 and n or we club it with PQ buses and assign it bus no. m+1.... If we change that bus number, the Y-bus also changes

      The bus no. of jth bus will still remain intact as j. Also, remember that we treat this jth bus as PQ bus in that particular iteration only (the iteration in which Q-limit is violated). In next iteration, this jth bus is treated as PV bus as usual unless it violates Q-limits again.

      @@DrAfrozAlam Sir, then till m we know P&Q and V and ∆ are unknown... After m, we write in terms of ∆ since thry are PV till bus no. j, for bus j we write again as PQ bus and after j+1 we write all other as PV? I am correct ?

      sir can u tell me how to find active n reactive loss in TL. according to book first it calculate current in each TL then useses i^2 R and i^2 X for active n reactive power for each TL and add it for overall. isn't there any short method? What if l subtract total active power generate in slack and generator bus to total active damand by all connected loads .pls help

      Yes, you can but take negative of that i.e. total generation minus total load.

      Y12=-y12=-10+j20=22.3606angle116.5651. This has already been evaluated at time stamp 7:20
