And in Genesis 26:5 stated: Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statues, and my laws.

35:00 This doesn't make sense. There were many people who lived there who were powerless to enforce laws against murder etc. Poor regular people don't have the power or resources to create a court system and police force. So why should they have been killed?

I have a humble question for you.
As far as I understand , God commanded to kill all breathing creatures in the land of Canaan and the seven nations (which israel inherited) without any trace.
And the method of negotiation for war applies to any people except the seven nations which the israel. is going to occupy. Deuteronomy 20:16-18
Kindly clarify.
