I currently use, and have for 30 years, a partner steel 4 burner folding stove for whitewater river running and cooking for larger groups. I'm slowing down some and wanting a smaller stove for smaller easier groups. Curious if you prefer to cook with your partner 2 burner or your pinnacle? I'm thinking my best option may be to add the pinnacle for smaller uses and have both.

I just got a Eureka 2 burner. Going to give it try in a couple weeks. I’m interested to see how it does compared to what you’ve mentioned with this one. The one thing I think I’m going to like is the Eureka you can control the intensity of the heat. We’ll see if that makes a big difference.

Great review! After watching I actually am gonna take a chance and purchase the pinnacle. Question, where do you get the pan? Looks like the perfect size for the pinnacle

It's the Partner Steel small griddle. We have a couple of them and are worth every penny.

I have a Pinnacle too. The supply hose seems flimsy. Not sure how long it will last or even if that hose is available as a replacement part.

First, thank you for the honest review. I am building a low profile drawer system based on the thin profile of the GSI pinnacle stove, so knowing all of this is great to know going in. One side note on your drawer/cooktop surface with it being wood. After using it so much, any issues with using wood? Or would you prefer aluminum/stainless steel? I'm considering using aluminum or ACM for that surface, but have been thinking I may just go 1/2" ply and throw a sealer on it due to cost. Heat and upkeep of the sealer are the only drawbacks I can think of (which may be a non issue).

Stainless steel would probably be better. But the 1/2" ply has worked fine for us. We put anything hot on a silicone trivet anyhow. It's held up nicely so far.

I think if you hit the unlock button when it’s down it locks the lid

What is the distance from the center of one of the burners to the wind screen? Curious if you can center a 12" skillet over the burner...

Thanks for review and your time. I think Im gonna purchase but I was hoping like you to use a larger bottle. I belive that small line has a regulator on it, and the suplied large extention does not. that why the weird configuration. I have a reg on my large bottle as it also gos to a small furnace furnace and water heater. I'm wondering if I could remove supplied reg and hook straight to cook top. Just wondering if you investigated this option. thx

Good review....a single burner version would be nice.....kind of odd for GSI not to offer that option especially since this is about saving space.

Is the dimensions of the griddle 18” x 12” the overall size or just the size of the cooking surface?

We use the small griddle from Partner Steel for the Pinnacle Pro. It's a perfect fit. We also use the large one at home on our gas cooktop.
