He was the recipient of multiple razzies and for good reason. Though I do think he should've won for Dr. Strangelove or 2001.

Frank Capra was one of the most overrated directors. Any director would have struck gold multiple times with genius screenwriter Robert Riskin penning their screenplays. Take away Riskin, and Capra would have no doubt been a forgotten hack.
