This is actually a genre bending song in terms of its lyrics, chiefly because the whole theme of poetry is "uplifting". Urdu poetry has a rich tradition of documenting the suffering of a lover/passionate individual in the form of heart-rending poetry. The words and phrases such as "intezaar" "humsafar qaraar dil ko" etc. are used "generally" (almost always) in sort of a pessimistic and hopeless mourning for the beloved. Not only these phrases, but the whole lyrical scene is created to describe the gloom, unrequited love or sadness.
The song however, does away with the traditional cliches and themes and augments the tradition in a positive, equally compelling direction by completely flipping the whole "unrequited love" archetype with that of a lover who has, maybe finally succeeded to unite with their beloved and now the lover sings in joy "Ankho'n mein jo raushni hai, aaney wala kal hasee'n hai, intezaar jis ka tha wo, agya"

This is the finest song i've found in 2021.
2020, a real tough year, started well tho, but then i lost the one i loved, eventually, had to leave a dream as well, scored bad in graduation finals, and disappointed almost everyone i had.
Cried a lot, spent sleepless nights, from being a childish happy talkitive guy to a guy who now remain silent.
This was the first time i was going through something like this.
But this song, its just so peaceful and so beautiful, it literally gave my life a new meaning, motivated me to be strong and move forward.
