Doesn’t matter that they are hard to self service. The whole point of having a gearbox is that it will last many times longer than a normal drivetrain. So although they are hard to service you will never need to do it

alot of people on here complaining about the grip shift.. what youre not realizing is that is where the sport is evolving back to. there are alot of pros in the enduro discipline running grip shift to make room for their lockout levers or vice versa. it might not last forever with advancements in digital technology, but it is a great way to organize the cockpit setup.. and guess what.. alot of the fast dudes/ girls are doing it
Another Amazing build! Plus it's got the pinion gear drive... I personally feel that the pinion gear drive system is the wave of the future and not just another gimmick or fad.

Saw one of these at the trails a few weeks ago. Looked gorgeous. Please Zerode make one in aluminum with an Alfine and trigger shifters instead of the Pinion so mortals can afford it. Add a fixed hub rear wheel while you are at it.
The production quality just keeps getting better and better man! Once again, great build, great footage, and hat's off to you - obviously a lot of film work into this one.
First time I saw the pinion gearbox was on a touring bike, and it totally makes sense, but I was a little bit sceptical how it would be on mtb bike, but now my doubts are definitely went away, this is brilliant! Awesome built, really like watching your videos, keep going man! Cheers! 👍
Soooo, after watching several builds, after mopping the floor due to excessive drool, I feel this is my favourite bike! So i need to ask the question that's for a while on my mind: Will you ever do a give away of these bikes? I mean, probably most of us, poor droolers, can't afford something like this (this one in particular would be a year and half salary with no eating, no school for kids, no house, no electricity, no internet... you got the picture :-) ). Have to say, great cinematic work! On all of them! Keep it up!

@@marcus_yin Not really that similar, it's a linkage-driven single pivot design. Cool bike though. I met the owner of the company in Queenstown, NZ a few years ago. He was super chill and hyped about his bikes.
Dream Build is something, when you hard working everyday to save money for your dream bike and than building your self. Not when you work for one of the best bike companies, and you build all the same bikes everyday. its routine.

@@aaronsharman8031 what a 60ml oil change every 12 months...takes less time than a clean and lube a chain... the gbox will outlast the bike

You have to pull the cable both ways with gearboxes, not sure if anyone made a non-gripshift solution for that.

100% I had a bike with grip shifters. Never again. DOesn't matter how good everything else is about a bike.
