Hey shroom I saw lots of big kingfish swimming around but they won’t hit anything, tried sugapen, soft plastic paddle tail, and a Rapala stick bait, what lure should I use? By the way also tried live yakka won’t work

Awesome 🔥 surprised that the pair of you stuck to the same lures when they stopped biting, I would have been changing size and colour. How did Stewie feel about you "cheating" on him by going out on another boat with Scotty. 🤔
I wish I had some surface stickbaits Andrew... one of my goals is to get one on a big lure (not a small bream surface like my other video). Yeah we weren't about to grind, we actually tried to do another video in the shallows but shortly after several flatties the conditions ruined it. Haha, don't you worry, more of him coming up! 🔥

@@ShroomFishing its ok though because i also have other larger outfits when bait fishing , from before I began the lure trade . My local though at Parra as youd know is bread and butter flattys bream whiting and the bass in the fresh . ✔🎣 and i love it . 👍

Fantastic rodwork by Scotty. With the king running hard under the boat , he gets the rod tip down low under the water , keeping the working angle of that fragile graphite rod nice and open. This keeps the pressure on the butt of the rod where its strength is. So many people react by pulling upwards which puts less pressure on the fish and snaps the tip often. So everyone watch that first fish he hooked. That's how you do it.

Hey mate how do you fish a bonito,salmon,kingfish, or Mac tuna bust up?What are some of the best soft plastics or hardbodies for those bust ups
I can't say for bonito or mac tuna (yet to catch), but for salmon and kingfish fast moving soft plastics like jerkshads in natural or whites do well. For hardbodies, anything surface works well so long as it's strong especially poppers and stickbaits. If in doubt, a metal slug wound quickly is a good choice
@@ShroomFishing what about a 4inch man jershad petal white and a rapala xrap long cast?Also,i live in Sydney harbor and the water is pretty deep,so I am not sure how to target flathead since I don’t have a boat or kayak.Need some lure suggestions
@@jzfishing103Those 2 lures will work. Use a 3/4 inch paddle tail for flathead with a 1/2oz jighead. It will hit the bottom unless you're fishing on a boat. Check out my Top 5 Flathead lures video for ideas: th-cam.com/video/zoM9lw4Za84/w-d-xo.html

Unfortunately no. He wasn't sure what lure it was. I don't think it would made too much of a difference that day. I'll have to try with some stickbaits that I have next time

What size Saragosa and braid would you suggest for legal Kings, Snapper etc around Sydney and surrounding areas? (kayak fishing)
6k, 8k or 10k if you want to purely focus on big kings. Braid 30lb to 60lb depending on size

A few lures work there, you just gotta get it down usually. A jerkshad style would be my pick but people have got them on everything from metals to vibes

How about when it’s not forecast what lures are you using at the same spots?
Plastics and sink them down a bit more, but if youre early these all still work

Yep, a bit harsh on the ears but every time that reel comes out, it's hooked onto a king so it has done a lot of work
