My wife and I stayed at the Cliffe bay hotel and loved every bit of it will go back.
I can well imagine how lovely that must have been. The hotel looks wonderful.
What I love about Madeira is that the Madeiran's build everything thing themselves. No imported labour. Just love the climate, the natural beauty, the wonderful buildings, excellent road's and tunnels ❤

It brought back fond memories of my first time in Madeira as I stayed at Meliá Madeira Mare 5 years ago.
If you hadn't have gone up Rue da Casa Branca I'd never have been aware of what was up there, so I'm sure many people will be grateful to you of it!
I'm glad you caught the parrot at Marisqueira Lareira Portuguesa as I was meaning to go there but simply forgot!
I'm also glad you didn't give Restaurante Chanceller a look in, just before Pingo Doce on Estrada Monumental, reason being was that on my last night back in April, my friends & I were looking for somewhere late in the evening to dine & the guy standing at the entrance was unforthcoming with his mannerisms & wouldn't serve us, even though there was still substantial amount of time before closing. I told him to his face that he was rude & walked off & their reviews say it all! I'd have thought businesses would be crying out for custom since the pandemic.
We ended up Sabor da Índia to the rear of Pingo Doce & Theresa who served us was lovely!
Anyway I hope you're enjoying Cork & feel free to do a walking tour around there, I won't complain! 😉😁
