Also, I Captured the Castle is on my “100 Books to Read” list that I’m very slowly working my way though. I haven’t read it yet but I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it!
Nice job with this! I usually have attention span issues if a video goes over 10-12 minutes, but I stayed with you and enjoyed this the whole way! 12 books is a lot in a month. I have been reading a lot more since the start of the year and one thing I find is that although I enjoy the book as I read it, 2-3 weeks later I will remember very little of it without going back and being prompted. Do you find that to be the case? I agree with you regarding "found families". For me, it boils down to the fact that they still love you even though they don't "have to."
I think it depends on the book for me. Books like Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, I remember nearly all of the details and did even a year after reading it the first time. Have you tried keeping a reading journal where, once you've finished a book, you write a short paragraph about your impressions?

“They’re literally just called Diary Novels.” 😂😂😂

@@Tristan-L-Space-Books That's an excellent idea! Thanks!
Interesting views about Yellowface. I'd still like to try it (i have FOMO 😂).
Overall, I do think it's worth reading. I hope you enjoy it!
@Tristan-L-Space-Books I took your advice, and I've put a hold on the audiobook to listen to rather than read it.
