I've never used a "PC" controller. My controller experience ended with the N64. That said, There are a couple of games I play that have evolved from point-and-click to controller-only, so I've been looking for a decent one that won't breaky Jakey. I'll have to give this one a look. Thanks! Love the house pants 😘
The nice thing about a 2.4 GHz adapter on Android is that you can turn the controller off and on again without losing your controller port in RetroArch. Bluetooth controllers in the Android version of RetroArch lose their ports each power cycle.
I tested out playing Mortal Kombat and Tekken and the D pad is excellent. I also tested out the joystick for Street Fighter and it was excellent as well. All buttons are responsive, as you said. Its pretty much the perfect controller if you are looking for a cheap but reliable controller for Steam.
I assume you would recommend Armored Core, thats my question. I have had it on my wishlist but have not pulled the trigger on it yet. Falcon on Gameranx seems to like it a lot. Does it really have a lot of replay value?
Wild. 25 hours into Hades 2 with fantech eos pro "hall effect" controller, and it started to stick drift..... Needed a quick and cheap(er) replacement so I got one of these....will they last longer than 25, hours?
Finally I found a video where I can hear the buttons! They sound more stiff and loud than I expected, is it the same in the Ultimate 2.4 and Ultimate BT?
Yes the button sounds and feels to me are fairly on point together - same feeling. The best triggers I have ever used in a controller are surprisingly the Lunas controller - so I negatively try and hope to find that feeling again in controllers like these.
Just bought a pink one and now found your clip. Didn't know it's that much different from the one with charging dock when I buy it but so far it's ok for the price 😅 Nice addition to my collection anyway

I’m going to go on a limb and say ‘most likely’ but I’m really not sure. A lot of the technical principles are the same - hardware and execution are the only major differences.

The top tier ult is a little more bells and whistles feeling, don’t shoot me for this but I really think the AMZ Luna controller is overly great for PC gaming as far as feel goes. You’re relegated to batteries and either USB cable or blue tooth (so USB cable is the winner in my books).
yeah i noticed that after buying the C model lol. But, it makes me wonder. Would it be possible to buy the hall effect sticks for xbox and change them on this one?

Gamesir T4 Nova Lite vs 8BitDo Ultimate C 2.4G Wireless. Looking for a budget wireless 2.4g controller for my PC emulations. Which is better? I saw that the the t4 nova lite has hall effects. I play mostly dolphin emu and citra but will also try it on yuzu. Which one do you guys suggest? Is it better to choose gamesir cause it is also cheaper? or the 8bitdo is worth it? Thanks!
Yes, I have done this. We 4 player couch coop on a steam PC - I will say in off moments inputs seemed wonky and ultimately I just dedicated each dongle to a usb port but yes it’s doable and you may encounter occasional issues but overall doable in a pinch.
It should, I'm not huge in to emu stuff but I have built small pi boxes and played a few from time to time on PC - when i do this I use other 8bitdo controllers. You may have to map inputs depending on your emu.
So would this work with a Nintendo Switch? I think you said it could not be for a console but on their webpage it says compatible with Nintendo Switch.
I just checked the website again - I don't see anything for the switch for the 2.4Ghz Ult C being directly compatible with switch. Shoot me the link you are looking at? Here is the link for the 2.4Ghz Ult C - halfway through the page is the compatibility list. www.8bitdo.com/ultimate-c-2.4g-wireless-controller/

I emailed 8bitdo to see if there was an update, but they said there’s no such update because it’s not compatible with the Analogue Pocket Dock. This video was misleading, now I’m going to have to return my purchase.

None of the 2.4 GHz or wired PC controllers support gyro. You would need to get the Bluetooth Switch / Xbox models. 8bitdo's most "ultimate" controller remains to be the Pro 2. All of the Ultimate-branded lineup is inferior to it.
It's been fine, the wife prefers it over the 4 elites (ults) for its "pretty color" she has no complaints and Brawlhallas on it all the time. :) Its not a bad controller by any means - but an enthusiasts controller - it is not.
Oof, this guy woke up and chose violence at the start of this video 😅 Technically, both 8bit"doe" and 8bit"doo" are correct. They used to pronounce it "doe" at tradeshows and such. The only reason they officially pronounce it "doo" now is to keep Nintendo off their backs, since they very blatantly based their brand name (and old logo design) on Nintendo. Nin-ten-do, 8-bit-do. It's also the reason why their newer versions of their SNES controllers and such don't completely copy the official Nintendo design anymore, they were too close. I'll likely keep pronouncing it like Nintendo since that was the original intention. Also, there's nothing wrong with saying "SNES" - now if you're one of these people who pronounce it "SNEZ" then we got a problem. Personally I usually just say "Super Nintendo" anyway.
Dude 100% agree it's the S.N.E.S. 😂 I'm still using a Xbox One controller for my PC(when not using M&KB) Have to use it wired though as it has issues over bluetooth.
Solid choice of a controller. I’ve found…and hear me out…the Luna controller is actually very nice as a PC controller if you use it wired. BT is a bit finicky across controllers to me. I need a 2.4ghz rechargeable Luna. That controller is just nice feeling.
The SN30 requires a little more setup, on the back it has connection methods and unless they make an exclusive 2.4ghz model for it you need the usb adapter for it or BT on the pc. If wired it’s either power off and power on holding start and x or b I can’t remember off the top of my head. If you’re using the wired sn30 it should be plug n play and check your settings in your game. Idk if you can swap to pre config or if you have to map a controller for Fortnite
