If you watch her channel, she sometimes indirectly insults her former students, not all (but I’m glad she acknowledged Nia and Chloe’s hardwork and talent + admit that she didn’t favour Maddie as much as the show displayed) The producers manipulated much of the drama and emotions. They controlled the interviews, inappropriate dances and costumes. They also made the girls stand for 4-6hours per week for the pyramids, just so they can capture “good” angles and inflict drama for content. They induced unnecessary rivalry (like I said Maddie was asked to show attitude to Chloe). All of these attributed to the stress the casts endured. But once again, I’m not putting all blame on the producers, both parties were responsible for ruining the kids’ lives.
But Abby still decided to bodyshame, put so much pressure on the girls and overworked them. Still expected them to be better dancers while they were trying to balance school, traveling, 9 hours dancing and working, going to sleep late and waking up early... That wasn't forced by the producers because Abby still have the same mindset, she even admitted that she used to write the weight of the girls in the mirror and compared them, calling names to their bellies and making them jump carrying weight while saying "this is how it feels jumping with overweight"

Explanation: Growing up Maddie (the little girl in the photos)went on this show called dance moms where they would do dance competitions, Abby the lady in the back in every photo was really harsh and rude on everyone and excluded people. Later on in life when Maddie was a teenager she posted a video saying things like dance moms was cruel and that it ruined her childhood and she never missed it.

The people defending Abby most likely haven’t watched the whole show or are just really young and don’t know what mental abuse is, Abby put these kids against their friends, she bodyshamed them off camera, picks favorites, and more horrible things. Let’s not pretend like she actually cared for the girls, she only cared about Maddie and had a creepy obsession with her, and I’ve actually met someone who’s daughter actually danced at the company, not on the show, just at the company (fat chance people will believe me) it’s not scripted, the producers did tell the moms to create drama for show purposes yes, but Abby said everything by herself, especially off camera. I’m guessing people only feel bad because she has cancer, which sucks, I know a feel people who have it, but it’s still not an an excuse to bully and harshly criticize young kids who are already beat down. Explanation: Growing up Maddie (the little girl in the photos)went on this show called dance moms where they would do dance competitions, Abby the lady in the back in every photo was really harsh and rude on everyone and excluded people. Later on in life when Maddie was a teenager she posted a video saying things like dance moms was cruel and that it ruined her childhood and she never missed it.

I think y’all fail to realize that the MAIN problem here was the producers, not Abby, not the moms, not the kids. The producers forced Abby to treat the kids and herself like shit for fame which cause her to receive so much hate, and they made the girls(mainly Maddie) act certain ways which made them receive hate. And they made the moms fight and pretend to have drama.
If anyone ruined anyone’s life it’s the producers, they ruined everyone apart of that show.
You fail to understand that abby is still mainly the problem. In a podcast she stated that it was her teaching methods, the producers just promoted it. The wanted Maddie to be mean to Chloe which gave her hate and they thought why not make Abby abusive too. It was a good show in my opinion and the drama was… yk.. out there!
