- "Amongst The Stars" is a Hollywood cult thriller telling the story of Alice, a young actress who gets cast in a mega blockbuster film from director Simeone Damien. She believes her life of celebrity parties and fame are just starting but as she finds out, she'll have to submit to dark forces if she'll ever want to be something...more.
I went places as not just a director but as a person on this one both good and bad. The sheer amount I learned...too much to type here. Every time I make one of these, it's like being injected with a stronger dose of adrenaline. I love this and 100% I was put on this planet to do this. Nothing else has me this addicted. Anyway, some thanks need to go around so the rest of this description will be dedicated to thanking the people who made this happen. If you wish to hear me breakdown how I made this, that video will come, but for now, to the people who made this all possible.
To my Key Grip, Paul Giacalone. Over a year ago I met you as a PA and asked you for a chance to prove myself that I could be more than that. You gave me a chance based on merit and who I was. Through you, I met the guys from Grip This and I always tell you but, you were the reason I was able to get more grip gigs and you opened that door for me into a new field of work. You didn't have to do any of that but you did. You're what I aspire to be in this business. An individual of refined quality and diligence to their craft. Thank you Paul for providing your time and insight into this project. How odd it felt standing next to you at the monitor creating this together but, it felt right.
To both Chris and Donnie , you guys mean a lot to me as well. Both of you, each time I was on set with you, despite being so green, you both never put me down and actively sought to teach me what you knew. The business could use more people such as yourselves. People who wish to share what they know and are so kind. Thank you both for your high level of expertise.
To Markus and his electric team of Sam , Andrew and Brent. Markus, I met you through Paul and his recommendation meant a lot and as we worked together on set, it was very obvious why he held you in such high regard. You and your team faced a tough challenge trying to achieve the look we wished to go for and your smart planning and extra ideas implanted an even better look than I could have asked for. This film looks so beautiful due to you guys. Thank you all for the hard work you gave me. Not possible without you.
To Alberto. My friend, we met through the internet and your generosity and calmness in an eye of the storm was such a joy to have on set. Despite never working together, we quickly found our rhythm. Just like with everyone else, this film came out the way it did in part due to your knowledge of your gear but also, your flexibility to get the shots we needed. And of course, your assistance with coloring and transferring the files was invaluable. As you said, you're a nerd but truly, you're so well versed and present such a rounded skill set...it was pleasure!
To my composer, Mauricio, despite us never working together either, you brought it all to the stage and gave me a unique experience. Never had I heard a project of mine with a unique score for it and hearing it and seeing it took me to the moon. Thank you for your quick work rate and hearing me ramble on and on about how it should "feel" haha, you nailed it!
To my sound, Johnny. Thank you not only for providing your gear and time but also, making the edit so easy with how well everything was organized. It was such a cake walk and made my life so easy. Eternally grateful to you for that, what a life saver! Thank you so much sir!
To my lovely actors, Madison, Mark, Lynn and all my lovely cult members, Kevin, EV, and Lucas. You guys were top notch. Using actorsaccess for the first time proved to be the best choice I ever made because I knew I needed top quality actors and every one of you left me stunned. Mark and Madison, thank you both for both days. You guys working as quick as we did on Day 2 and still providing the kind of work you gave is unreal. Thank you for your time and flexibility, asking me questions and challenging us to think about these characters and this story.
To my PA brother Brandon, thank you for always being available for me and helping as much as you could. I hope that you had fun. You crushed that slate man, so, just like with my comment to Johnny, thank you for making the editing process so easy. You're a great guy!
And last but not least, to my girlfriend. I say it each time but I must drive you nuts with how much I talk about this stuff but thank you for still listening. For this one, you helped me everywhere and the comfort and care you gave me during this was needed. I know it was stressful but, thank you for staying by me. I love you forever.

This kind of stuff really happens, unfortunately. Pretty creeped out right now tbh. They are everywhere in Hollywood and the entire media industry.
Needs to be not just spoken about more but highlighted for what it is
@@bensmlatic it is and you get censored, cancelled, shadowbanned, and rejected for work if you are a whistleblower. That's assuming something worse doesn't happen. But I don't know what you mean by "for what it is". Everyone has a different opinion on that. It's straight up evil psychological abuse and systemic criminal activity and corruption happening right under our noses and we are just pretending like we don't know anything is going on. It's just "Hollywood". ✌️

Ah man sorry to hear that, I wouldn't mind sharing how I approached this one, hope some of it helps.
I think friends, family, your crew and cast are a given. Post it on every social media too. For me, since I used a crowdfunding website, all my backers got a message saying the film has been released.
My girlfriend, parents, and a few friends shared with their family and friends too which is always how it goes. That is a great way to get some more exposure, if the quality is there, people will want to share.
Facebook has paid ads you can use for like, really cheap. Tossed $15 bucks into an ad for 3 days and got about 200 likes, I think maybe an extra 60-80 viewers from that video.
Honestly, my stat breakdown for this was roughly 120 external links and a majority of my views came from TH-cam recommending it to people...ah the algorithm. Don't let your content or what you make be determined solely by how many views it got.
Tons of great work, with a lot of effort goes unseen. Never give up though because if it's what you love doing, use the experience from your previous work and go make something even better. Good will come towards you.
