Hey! Thanks for the video! With the inflation these days, it's difficult to find some things that are pennies on the dollar unless you buy them from the junk yard. I wish you all the best!
Hey Mark, thank you for teaching quite early in the morning. In German we say "20 Uhr", and it means 8pm. Probably you know that. A funny German phrase for buying or selling something pennies on a dollar is "für nen Appel und n Ei". Means "for an apple and an egg". 😊 Same thing here. You have to say it exactly that way. Otherwise it's not understandable. Take care, and all the best. Michael from Germany 🇩🇪
Hello, what a beautiful walk around and beautiful landscape.I feel sorry to think if we buy something as pennies on the dollar that means someone has been working for very less, poor guys
Hey Mark, I was wondering why you pronounce evening that way. I checked many dictionaries and its pronunciation is /ˈēvniNG/. I've never heard the way your pronounce in Canada and U.S. Is it Albertan pronunciation by any chance? Thx
The new expressions I have learned:
1)pennies on the dollar
2)intrinsic value
3)get phased out
