- a quick and dirty take on this Queen song for Season 642 of the Ukulele

I am doing this song as a tribute to Canadian Inuk musician Elisapie, who recorded a version of this in Inuktitut, her first language.

Glad you had a chance to check out Elisapie, and bring a bit of her to the season! Looking forward to hearing your Inuktituk version someday!
Oh! Thanks so much Threebird! Singing in that language will be a challenge!
Well done.
Thank you~
A wonderful version, Joo! I enjoyed my listening so much. 🙏🥰
Thank you so much Nelly. 🙏
I thought for a moment that, unbeknownst to me, "Queen" originally hailed from Seattle ... then I read your explanation and understood; clever idea! (I, too, would love to break free, but you can't do it without wearing a pink top and pushing a hoover ... and my hoover has just broken down!) Sounding good, Joo!
Thank you!
AMAZING AS ALWAYS, im always impressed by your voice, its insane :) where r u from? just curious!!! if ur from the us, chill, but just thought id ask!
Thank you very much!
There's something nice about this. Maybe it's the rhythm. Or, maybe it's the vocal delivery. Not sure, but I like it. A tambourine on the 1 beat would really make it sound native. I may remix it with hand percussion later on.
Oh that sounds like a great idea. I am too sleepy now. Gonna crash. I was inspired to do this after Threebird's post. Please go ahead and add stuff to this. I feel honoured you don't find it too rough/ lousy to work with.
And thanks Cody. 😴
This is strong! Really cool to hear the English words and your take vs Elisapie in Inuktitut. It's quite different that the Queen video I just watched also. Music is so interesting, eh?!
Indeed! Thanks Chris! I feel for the indigenous people so it was nice to pay a sorta tribute to them.
Another gem.
For whatever reason, when I was listening to this, I could hear a down tempo version of the song "The Promise" by When In Rome, in your voice, in my head. I bet you could do an awesome cover of that song. Not being a musician, I have no idea how all of the synth would be translated to ukulele. I just think your voice would be great for the vocal track.
