I wish I could look at my car ECU and see problems and potential problems. To me the faulty and the good ones all look the same (same with all electronics for me)
i dont know if you were waring that mask when soldering but invest in a hepa soldering fume extractor and a hepa air purifier as a high quality extractor suckes enough that a mask isn't needed

look for corrosion, things that look off and blown traces as a start
