Every woman needs several white blouses (and at least three different black skirts). This is a wonderful way of getting some comfortable blouses out of cheap men's shirts. What woman doesn't need and wants comfortable blouses. I do. Thank you for showing me how to do this.
Honestly I run it directly off the spool and try it on intermittently to check if it’s what I want. Then I sew the end down and clip it. Some patterns have elastic guides, pretty sure this one did too. So you can do it either way.
This was a very easy, very pretty pattern & very clever thrifting makeover.
Thank you! 😊

I remember making several "Peasant Blouses" back in the 70s. Do you have a video that gives more detail of how you end the elastic in the casing?
Not yet. I think I might make one 😉
Very nice
Have you ever gathered by gently holding the top thread as you sew the gathering seam ?
No I’ve never tried that. I’ll see if I can figure that out. Thanks 😊
Great job! Did you link the pattern? 💖👏🏻👏🏻
I forgot but I’ll put it there now. Thanks for reminding me.
Here it is for you: amzn.to/3U5Gdks
How did you know how long to make the elastic?
Honestly I run it directly off the spool and try it on intermittently to check if it’s what I want. Then I sew the end down and clip it. Some patterns have elastic guides, pretty sure this one did too. So you can do it either way.
Lovely 🧵👍
Thank you 😁
