Geocache trinkets are there for you to take something but leave something of equal value. I have been geocaching for a long time now. Neat game and get excercize

I have 2 brothers in law that geocache all over. A little Goofy trinket he left has traveled to Hawaii and Germany from his cache in Michigan!! And it is a great way to exercise and see some of the great outdoors. Great abandoned bridge guys; really enjoyed this adventure! Stay safe y'all. Ty R & R 💕

Yes Mary I have got a traveling coin that every now and then shows up somewhere. I am hopping it makes it to Vietnam. That’s where I directed it to go. Take grandkids out searching and we have a blast.

How did you get started doing this? Do you notify the county of the lost cemeteries you find? Do you coordinate with groups to clean them up? Do you take volunteers? You guys are so respectful to the deceased! Thank you.

You taught this old (56 yrs young) lady a new word...geocache! I must investigate this further, but what neat little thing to find!!! The knowledge of the senior Robert surely combines well with the younger Robert, and both of you are a strength to be reckoned with! I absolutely enjoyed this episode! Keep doing what you are doing!

So cool! That bridge looks better than some I've seen that are still being used! Stumbling across the geocache is so awesome! Young Robert -- nice haircut! Senior Robert -- thanks for enlightening us on why the bridge was replaced. Blessings!

I’m a geocacher in Minnesota and you have found two geocaches since I’ve watched you. It makes me itch to go out looking again. Many of your locations are perfect for hiding.

Wonderful old bridge. Thanks for sharing. I wish the state of Georgia had foresight to make these old highways into bike trails for families to enjoy.
Wisconsin did rails to trails with neet old 1800 train tunnels and beautiful countryside

I love following your channel! My three brothers & I spent all our High School years in Columbus. Our best friends lived in Harris County. We ran up and down those backroads in a Squarebody Chevy, we canoed many of those creeks and streams, fished the Chattahoochee and swam in Lake Oliver. Keep up the good videos they bring back a ton of memories!

Thanks for taking us along, Robert and Robert! Those abandoned roads and bridges are great and then to find a geocache makes this one all the more fun.---I grew up in Bloomfield, Indiana, and past the west end of town and down in the river bottom area in the woods there are the supports for a bridge that was removed a long time ago, these big stone structures just standing among the trees. To the south a new bridge was built and some years ago that bridge was demolished. I'm think the third, newest bridge is on the same site as the second one. It would be fun to go back there and see if the supports from the second bridge are now historic, archaeological structures in the woods.

Thank you for sharing! The bridge is just fascinating. The newer bridges are also being built to withstand higher speeds as well as more weight and width. When you find an old out-of-commission bridge, you can tell so much about the timeline of the town(s) it likely served. Love these adventures!

I didn't think I would like this, but I was wrong, this was awesome, and the other older bridge under the one you walked across, I was wondering why they would build another bridge when this one was or seemed to be quite solid, and then Robert explained, because of the wider transport that needed to use it, thank you so much for this really interesting video, loved it.

My Only Shirt LOL 😁 and The Other Robert.
What you need is two shirts with The Other Robert on them...hehehe
I did wonder about that bridge, it's really well built , it just couldn't keep in step with the times.
I would bet there is some old surveying or historical map showing the original bridge under the bridge.
    Cheers,

Typical construction of bridges pre_WWII most likely build late 20s maybe early 30s We had a lot of old bridges like that in Arkansas. Some that were long had step outs for people who were walking to step out of the traffics way. We still have some bridges here built by the CCC camps and WPA. If you travel Hwy 7 north from Hot Springs, there are several old CCC bridges still in uses. Highway 23 is called The Pig Trail and loved by motorcycle groups because of the twist and turns. Most of the bridges are just like in your video.
