Hi there. I coach basketball in Spain. I’m 52. The kids I coach are 14. I’ve seen terrific performances in this video. No question about that. Outstanding level. However the behaviour of some of these kids and parents are far away from what I tolerate. The lack of respect for the opponent is sad. Too much violence. Maybe, if they are lucky, one or two of these kids will make it to profesional. Not more. However, all of them will become adults, and not all are the kind of adults I would like to be living by my family. I understand that USA and Spain are different, countries (we have our bullies too) but education, respect and tolerance are universal values. I always tell my kids that without opponents there is no game. You can win or loose, that has nothing to do with having the right attitude on the court.
@@jasonwalker2150 99? maybe 60 percent. new generations are skilled and talented but lack of self control, emotionally weak. Their emotion is too hight they can't control. Simple shots, too much celebration like its something new and very rare shot/moves
Simple as this…Raised with ignorance and disrespect turns into to ignorance and disrespect. Not only does it ruin the sport, it ruins society to act like street thugs with no common sense and bring up your kids the same way.
When I grew I playing ball it was all about sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline. I really don’t know what the hell they’re teaching these youngsters nowadays.
Well TikTok YT and IG are teaching them. The parents are from FB gen so they’re just pulled into assuming they can get likes. It’s degeneration as in opposition to generation. What’s being passed down now is a my moment culture. One where any and all moments are my moment. Just look at the dad with “it’s going viral” take. Say that in the 90’s nobody would have a clue what you’re talking about.
Great young talent. Let's fast forward ten years and see where these kids are at. I bet only a small percentage are starters on their college teams. Competition, injuries and lifestyle issues will be their downfall.
Here’s the thing….its just flexing. 80’s-90’s Hoopers would HURT you. Today’s Hoopers act like Soccer Divas. This generation will be playing street ball somewhere while International Players take over the NBA
Most underrated comment. The lack of humility, sportsmanship, teamwork, and mentoring (coaches and parents) will destroy most of the skill and potential in this video. This video has the proper title, just not the intended meaning.
Many of these talented kids will get scholarships while some will disappear from view forever. Among those getting scholarships many will fade after or during college. Of those who rise in D1 ranks only a very few will make the splash into the NBA>>others will go overseas. On another note, the arrogance of some is a bit annoying to an old head like I am who grew up watching Jerry West, Walt Frazier, Dr J, Tiny Archibald and a host of others. These guys kicked a*s consistently and consistently did it without taunting. We are in a new age now when u see shorties under 10 yrs old gesturing and taunting.
am in 7th grade and i was watching 5v5 6th grader playing .one was good and other was about to lose.i switched the teammate and i started making them win.we had 23points vs 14 points.i made them won now we will have a match 7th class vs 6th class.
New generations are skilled and talented but lack of self control, emotionally weak. Their emotion is too high they can't control. Simple shots, too much celebration like its something new and very rare
It’s sad to see children act this way. The parents as well as tv sports modern athletes are ruining it. Why do they keep call ing each other n***er? I saw more than a few kids pushing each other around calling each other this horrible name.
Everyone needs to pause at 4 seconds.....No wonder why she mad, her man angry at himself for obviously making bad choices. They are the main reason kids grow up and become knuckleheads. Sad
Football is a contact 100% contact sport yet they don’t get into so many altercations like basketball. This sport transitioned from a sport that was well mannered into a foul mouth and major attitude platform. I blame it on the the connection to hip hop music. The NBA has become an extension to hip hop culture, and this is the result. But hey, as long as it is making millions of $$$ it’s all good!
How did we get to this point? I don't care how good you can play basketball, when you're terrible, you're just plain terrible. If I was the coach, and I had a great player that acted like that towards the opposing team's players, that kid would be benched. I wouldn't care if they left the team. It's a sad world, and I think they're only hope is Jesus Christ. It's not too late for them to be redeemed, but they better hurry! The clock is ticking.
Sitting on the bench by the coach would help. But winning is more important. Techs by the refs would help but they want games to ref. Sad sad sad future
at 0:45 you can see a parent in the back trying to tell the kid not to do the celebration. But I do agree with you, most all of these parents need to set a better example for their kids.

In america, some coaches teach kids how to be a bully in the court.
I always choose European coaches in america for kids. Because they always teach values and teamwork.
You’re right these parents are crazy
Very valuable insights. Good luck with your coaching journey
Americans are cavemen with too many high tech gadgets and money imagine a cavemen dress on a suit 😂
The anger, contempt, and lack of humility in this video is terrifying. These players are indeed “doomed.”
players? this 99 percent of everyone in the world act like this.
