    Beautiful product. I am a florist that does lasering and sublimination in my sympathy business. I now have a new product to play around with.
    Very pleased with what I turned out. And yes remove both sides of the plastic!

    • @clarkbarkev
      @clarkbarkev ปีที่แล้ว

      And I also am having a problem with back side. A masking would be much better!

    Ive just finished making 100 keychains with this product. Whe film on the clear side is a nightmare to remove, a masking tape woulve been better and more eco friendly. Besides that really happy with the results

    This is great as now I dont have to go through the trouble of spraying clear acrylic with white paint after sublimating! Hmm so on that updated link while viewing on my smartphones screen I only see you have 12x24. Do you not provide smaller dimensions for hobby machines or did I not see another size option?

    • @JDSINDUSTRIES
      @JDSINDUSTRIES  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We only sell this sheet stock in the 12x24 size. Sorry!

      @@JDSINDUSTRIES yes I talked to a rep on the phone about it. Well hope its popular enough for you to think about the broad customer base that has hobby laser machines with smaller sized beds instead of just pro machines. The rep said you could cut it smaller for a charge

    if you put an LED light at the back of the finished sublimated acrylic, would it glow like an LED signage and light would pass through?

    I have an acrylic sheet that is the same on both sides. There is film on both sides to peel off. Trying to sublimate Graduation pictures on it. It is an Optix brand acrylic sheet and is .093 thickness.

    Looks promising. The details page says that it's extruded acrylic. Is this accurate? Extruded acrylic smells very bad and the odor lingers on the acrylic for a long time. My laser is in my home. This might be a deal breaker for me.

    Saw the video when I went on the webpage. Under that product # you gave above (SAC1224) it says under the details it is not laserable. So is that the right #?

    • @JDSINDUSTRIES
      @JDSINDUSTRIES  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct! This product is not laser engraveable. This item is able to be cut with a laser, however. Which you will see that spec 3 listings below the "laserable" sepcification. Hope this helps clear up some confusion!

    Are we supposed to remove BOTH sides of the plastic film before pressing? I removed both sides and still don't have a nice look. The colors seem pretty spot on but it just has a matte look, it's hard to explain. I followed the steps accordingly. Heavy pressure caused the material to flatten out slightly and lose its shape. Not sure what to do.

    • @JDSINDUSTRIES
      @JDSINDUSTRIES  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. The film should be removed before sublimating. It might be easier to troubleshoot with our sublimation specialists over the phone. You can reach them at 855.782.4657. Hope we can get this figured out!

    After sublimate clear cast acrylic, even cleaning with water and soap the acrylic isn't clear as before. Some part is frosty and hazed, is it normal??

      I did not know that you leave the plastic on when Lasering.

    • @dickebk
      @dickebk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dalethomas8444 yeah every other company that sells acrylic and demos laser vector cutting says to take off their coated protection sheet. I would want to test that as it might leave a burn residue along the edges of the acrylic. I know you cant use alcohol on acrylic for cleaning as it produces micro cracks. not sure how to get off the burn residue
