Our hair is kinda similar to plants in that if it's not moisturised it'll be dry and brittle = breakage. Most don't moisturise their locs meaning the hair is attached but too brittle to survive standing alone. A simple moisturising routine (we use rosemary water spray followed by a mix of oils [olive, castor, rosemary oil] spray) to keep the hair healthy. Daily is ideal but a few times a week is alright. If you see a green lawn you know it's being watered and if you see long healthy natural hair (afro type) assume it's being moisturised in some way
It took me 6 days to comb out 76 locs that were 3 1/2 yrs old. This was from 4am in the morning until about 7pm at night. I finished last week Tuesday. I will NEVER do that again. Each loc took 45 minutes to an hour. I used only water as it seemed like the conditioner was creating more tangled knots.
Yes my children are 7 and 13 and my husband works from home, so they were occupied for a little with homeschool work lol. I was determined to get it done because I was tired of the slow intricate combing up the loc. My hair is 4B/4C@@NaomiOnlae
Hey girl! Try using the large tip top of the comb to detangle your locs. I noticed the process going a bit faster when I combed out my last set. Hope this helps!🫶🏾⭐️
I love how you kept your explanations simple. We can do a number of things with our hair for a number of reasons. No big deal.
Yesssss! You get it lol ☺️
