In behalf of the Bangsamoro Government, I have so much respect to Erwan. He's definitely doing his part on re-introducing the people of our island provinces to the rest of the Philippines.
Great team members organized by Sir Erwan! Video quality, story plot, narration, background music, overall PERFECT! ❤ Please continue doing more of these please-for the Filipinos, for the Philippines!
I am very appreciative of whoever is writing your very creatives scripts, which reads like Poetry! ChatGPT will def not replace. Tnx for going out there to explore and taking us along for the ride. Videography is excellent too! Kudos to the team!
Wow! Great story-telling. Tepu - tipu and pukot, the same way we call banig and lambat in Inabaknon.. (Inabaknon is the language spoken in Capul, Northern Samar)
Content, spot on! Script + story telling, spot on! Cinematography, spot on! Thank you FEATR for showing us what we couldn't regularly see. National Geographic quality 👌🏻
when i was a kid i used to visit basilan with my mother. i remember badjao kids in their vintas lining up at the side of the lantsa waiting for anyone to throw coins in the water. no mater how hard or how far i throw the coins they will always get it.
Yes,from the position of moon and stars, they can tell when will be the seasons of fishing,I remember my father can tell how strong the wind or storm, and which directions,by observing the clouds and ocean.
Beautiful. I think they travelled as well because as a young girl of north-eastern Mindanao, I have witnessed a few of these families on small banca waiting for the ships to dock on the Pier. Usually very early in the morning. They ask passengers to throw money on the water. And they will dive to get it. Small children with sun-bronzed hair will jump and dive to get the money. Mothers with babies on their hip would dive as well. We call them Badjao. I wonder if they still do it, or if modernization put a halt to this practice. I miss the Philippines. 🇵🇭
I believe that this people should make a ship for the Philippine Coast Guard since they lived in the Sea for their entire life and so they can also evolve their skills instead of expecting to the other country for ship and order.
Please do this for all the ethnic groups in the Philippines.. The indigenous people of the Philippines first: Besides the Badjau, please also for the Aeta, Igorot, the tribes of Palawan, and there are a few others that I dont remember.. But they should all be recognized.
the sama badjau in malaysia are treated special coz they are acknowledged as one of the ancestor tribes. they have many privileges, they are very educated over there. here in the Philippines? quite another story.
aboriginal people in the philippines were negritos people.. not brown race... brown race came from South China during ancient times.. and started migrate in Southeast Asia during pre han chinese expansion in South China today. our ancestors acknowledge the threat of pre han chinese expansion during ancient times.
I suggest to you learn about Austronesian expansion theory. the reason why southern region was poor despite of being rich in term of resources. becuz of terrorist was funded by Malaysian government..
There ar emany stories about badjaos, some older ones told me of a time when they were of a different religion. Worshipping flying serpents. That is why in sulu old caeving on houses shoe flying serpents and phoenix.

The Badjaos are the basis for the Metkayina Clan in James Cameron's Avatar 2: Way of the Water movie.
