The chalk artist’s name is pronounced like Lee (Leigh). She’s a friend of mine! She’s the lead chalk artist for the festival and has been chalking for Disney for 30 YEARS! Her and Nate (the 3D chalk artist that is only there on weekends - starts on Friday) are the only two out of all the chalk artists that are approved to chalk the Disney characters. The other artists will be chalking Nat Geo, Masters and Disney landscapes pieces throughout the festival. If you get a chance to stop by and watch Leigh chalk, I highly recommend it! She will be there from 10-4 on even dates during January and off dates during February. Also Nate’s weekend 3D pieces are AMAZING!!! He is always at the end of the walkway closest to World Showcase (but on the opposite side from where you looked at Leigh’s Pluto).
Fun fact about that Pluto piece- Sydney & Kate are two of Leigh’s art students and they are only 8 and 16 years old!

Love, love, LOVE Festival of the Arts! It’s by far my favourite Epcot festival, and I’m so sad that I’ll be missing it by a day when I go to Florida next month. That said, I’m glad I have super awesome vloggers like you to help me experience it virtually haha. I’m surprised so much closes early. But I guess that means there’s just much ahead. Love that you caught a bit of the Broadway Concert Series though. It’s by far my favourite part of the festival.
Cris, I’m happy you focused on the art and not the food. I would buy the popcorn bucket - it’s different. I believe during the festival there is more than one mural that will be painted. Watch Adam the Woo, think he shows a small display of the ones to be done.

Hey Cris. I was there for opening day of Festival last year. Bummed out that I missed this year, but hopefully I'll be back next year!
I believe they have 4 murals to complete for the run of the festival so plenty of painting for everyone to contribute towards.

The popcorn bucket system appears to work well this year, thank goodness! Last year, people waiting in line for six hours….ridiculous!
