Although I'm an atheist myself, I don't think the future belongs to atheism, for the simple reason that religious people have many more children. The Amish are growing extremely quickly, the Mormons are growing, the Muslims too very quickly. Protestantism will probably die out here in Europe, because like atheists, protestants here in Europe generally have few children, but it will be replaced by other religions, mainly by Islam. Catholicism too will remain very strong, although not here in Europe.
