*Juan Gaston (6'8" 388 lbs)* That sounds like a kid that not too long ago would've been signing with an NBA team straight out of high school, or maybe after 1 year of college. It seems like kids with the body size to play in the NBA are finding their way onto college football teams now, and that didn't used to happen. Maybe there was a unicorn or two, but not that I can remember. Is this because of the opportunity to make so much immediate money from the NIL, or are they're just that many more kids > 6'7" now? Or am I just crazy? I don't really fallow Basket Hoops, but are their players increasing in size at a similar rate as well? Thanks for all the great work you do, Brian! I'm here at 5:20 a.m., making it my first podcast each and every day... or at least most days. 😆
Donor Fatigue will be the new term for College Athletics if we don't get our arms around NIL. You will eventually see teams dropping some sports simply because it doesn't make sense to continue. .
@flch95 Yes, I realize they did that, but FSU has taken a backseat to A LOT of teams lately. It's time they got back in the driver's seat. I guess we'll see.
@@scott3221 I think if they hadn’t just renegotiated MN’s contract last year and gave him the bank, he definitely would have been replaced. But he was handed the bank so FSU can’t afford to get rid of him so they are forced to help him succeed, or at least make an attempt. I think for him to keep his job, he will have to take FSU to a bowl game and have a great recruiting class. Just my opinion.
Did you see how well the Noles did on signing day and the days following despite all? I see a new strategy to recruit which includes the new staff. I ask you what is the difference to buying players in the Portal vs. HS recruits???
Hi Brian. When will we see you rocking some FSU gear? Need to see you in #garnetandgold. GO NOLES!!!

Thanks for the insight Brian! Isn’t a rule about NIL changing in July? A cap on the craziness?
Its not a sure thing it's a hope!
Teams are still going to do this. There are teams already paying underclassmen as it is.
Thanks for taking the orange and blue off

Then it comes down to coaching. I would rather be a good team and everyone be together than $$$. This needs to be addressed
Incentive play. If you do this you get this
No, they should change the coaching staff!!!!!
Lol they literally just changed the coaching staff lol! What are you expecting?

@Kochino823 I completely agree with you 💯%
Absolutely Norvell can't recruit and buying portal players doesn't really gauge how good a coach maybe. Is he really worth the money we are paying?
Norvell's contract is massive. FSU is obviously not going to get rid of him if it did not after a 2-10 season.
