Brewer put out a video years ago in vhs.

Back in the early 80's I was stationed at Fort Stewart near Hinesville Ga, and a buddy of mine was from Cookeville Tn, he taught me how to fish this little worm and jig in the ponds around the base, and we used to catch some really big bass, So yes this is the original finesse technic for bass !!!!

Awesome And Thank you for your service. I have got to say the fishing on the base as really changed over the years

Been slider fishing since the mid 70s 3inch swimbaits and senkos work well on the spider heads.Just reel them slow anything that swims will bite them.

Charlie Brewer wrote a book about the technique. It's probably available on the company website. Their line of Crappie and Bass grubs work well, in addition to the 4 in. Worm. In fact, the little Texas-rig Crappie grubs can catch almost anything in clear rivers and streams. Largemouth, Smallmouth, Rock Bass, and even extra large Shiners will hit them. ( 2 decades ... still no Pickerel. )

I've used these worms since I was in the Air Force stationed in North Carolina back in the early nineties. Still use the slider weight and hook combo. When it gets tough, go small and slow. Tight lines.

I've been Slider fishing here on the Lower Coosa River for over 30 years. I've won alot of money with the Spider Slider head. While I prefer Zoom's Finesse worm over Slider's worms, the ⅛oz Spider Slider and Spider Slider Pro heads are the deal. I've had many days where we had over 300 bites in a day, landing as many a hundred bass in a single day, on PUBLIC WATERS! Spotted bass absolutely LOVE this rig. *THE KEY* is to NOT try to fish it like a Texas rig. You are NOT trying to feel bottom! The secret to the Spider Slider's (MASSIVE) success is it's DIAGONAL FALL. You aren't trying to feel bottom, but rather just waiting for the bite ON THE FALL. I fished with an old guy, 30 years ago, who learned from Charlie Brewer himself. He said the key is to cast it up close to the bank (preferably a steep, rocky bluff type bank with scattered wood cover), and just let it fall UNTIL IT'S IN THE FISH'S MOUTH. It's that simple! I've caught bass from the surface down to 45 feet on it, and some BIG bass, too. For Alabama spotted bass, in the spring, it simply can't be beat. I had great success with it on largemouths in Florida, too. In my opinion, a Junebug Zoom Finesse Worm on a ⅛oz Spider Slider head is as good a bass bait as you can use, anytime, anywhere. Use light tackle; 6 or 8lb line and light spinning gear is best. The Spider Slider PRO head has a BLACK NICKEL hook; it's stronger, for LARGEMOUTH fishing. The Spider Slider head has a light wire BRONZE hook; it's a finer diameter wire. It's better for SPOTTED BASS and SMALLMOUTHS, because it penetrates FASTER (because of it's thinner diameter), PLUS, it FLEXES, so it isn't prone to popping free from the fish's mouth on a strong hookset with fluorocarbon or braided line (which DOES happen!) It's more FORGIVING. MY ADVICE IS THIS: get some SPIDER SLIDER and SPIDER SLIDER PRO heads, in ⅛oz and FORGET THE REST. Don't waste your time or money on the regular Slider heads, nor the ULTRA or the CLASSIC heads! Also, unless you're in really strong current, don't bother with the ¼oz heads. The ³/¹⁶oz is ok. Again, it's all about that FALL! Get some ⅛oz Spider Slider or Spider Slider Pro heads, some Zoom Finesse worms, in Junebug, Green Pumpkin, and Smoke Purple and GO FISHING. If they're not really biting one color, try another. They WILL bite one of the three. Your fishing will never be the same.

I’ve had great success with it the slider set up around docks and brush piles, I was using more of the 4” finesse size because of the fishing pressure. They put fish in the boat .
