    She murdered her bestie, framed bestie's husband, steals bestie's children's insurance money, brags about inheriting 500k, murders her mother and targets the downtrodden/desperate people , lying about Dateline ties, commits Another murder and that's when our police officers decide "Hey, that's weird!"

      It wasn’t the same officer, and I’m pretty sure it was a completely different district, so the inept officers in the Betsy Faria case weren’t involved. Honestly I think thats the only reason it got solved, and she got charged.

    i heard russ' 911 call a while back and its genuinely the most heartbreaking and gutwrenching thing ive ever listened to. finding out the 911 supervisor thought he was putting on an act was so unbelievably infuriating. i really hope hes doing better, the justice system failed him so bad.

      Hmmm. And yet, on every single true crime video I've seen, including right here, there's never ending comments criticizing the way someone acts on the 911 calls. Hysterical? They're faking. Calm? That makes them guilty. Very interesting that anyone here says that, yet some of the same people automatically accuse because "that's not how I would act".

    You don't need a team of Dateline investigators to know a 77-yr-old nursing home resident couldn't barrel thru a balcony railing the way that was broken. It sounds like every town Hupp ever stepped foot in had idiots for cops. How many jurisdictions did her crimes cover? Was she providing sexual favors to officers and judges? (she strikes me as that type of person)
    I recognised her name when you introduced her as the best friend, so even her name had stuck with me, but i'd forgotten the details and particularly how truly daft law enforcement was in her cases, time and again.

    It takes a special kind of evil framing an innocent person to actual prison

      I couldn't imagine spending 20 years of my life in prison for something I didn't do. Anytime cases like this happen just makes me wish the money they give comes from the department itself instead of tax money. Let the money they're supposed to get be used and I bet it wouldn't happen again

Then dude is smart enough to not get any blood on anything but for some reason wore his slippers and just stuck them back in his closet covered in blood. And not only did police and prosecution believe this nonsesne but 12 people on a jury? That is just scary.

      Life in prison must be horror for an innocent person. Being locked up with all those degenerates plus the enclosure. Food must be awful for health too. Many prisoners get health problems after being locked up for long periods.

    • @bradsanders407
      @bradsanders407 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Why would getting away with murder for decades be infuriating? I would much rather that than spend decades in prison for a crime I didn't commit.

    • @michelleprieur1
      @michelleprieur1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know what's more infuriating. People here saying that, or the fact that every single true crime video I've ever seen, including right here, has endless comments saying that every accused person is guilty. Woman dies or disappears, if she has a husband, oh, he's guilty! Boyfriend? He's guilty! Child disappear? Parents are guilty!! 😅😂

    • @michelleprieur1
      @michelleprieur1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @bradsanders407 I get your point but a murderer walking free is certainly infuriating. I agree that an innocent person being locked up is worse but that doesn't mean that a guilty person going free isn't horrible.

    2nd case pissed me off! They had the guy right in their face, evidence they could've easily uncovered n all just to sit around and be lazy n incompetent. And of course after an internal investigation they were found to have not done anything wrong. Those agencies are going to stick together n never hold each other accountable. Lives could have been saved had it not been for their incompetence 😠

    Always great content here! I can't wait to see that 1M subscribers button!! So close! A celebration is nearby!
    I love it when one of my favorite channels reaches a big milestone. I think it reflects the viewers satisfaction with a channel and that is what being a good TH-camr is all about. No AI or robot voices or lousy research or poor editing and visuals. It shows that people are willing to contribute to the growth of a good channel, thereby providing a livelihood for all those who work behind the scenes. That makes me happy.
    And I hope that as technology goes even further, that viewers do not accept anything less than real human-created content that people can relate to and feel like they are getting the real thing.

    The main takeaway should be that DAs don't care about prosecuting those who commit the crimes, they prosecute the people that they think they can convict, and any viewer of any true crime show knows this to be true. That's why in many cases, even when all the actual evidence points to someone else, the prosecutors will refuse to change their minds because they feel that they have a strong, winnable case against their initial suspect.

    So in 1988 I was 16 and worked in a pet shop on Long Island. Louie Eppolito came in to the shop and we all got to talking about reptiles. He told us he had a pretty big collection and invited my boss and I to come to his house to see it. He lived in Holbrook Long Island. We went over and a pretty big collection was an understatement. He had a lot of, at the time, very rare animals and a lot of them. After about 2 hours of looking at the reptiles he had his son show me his “weapons”. This turned out to be actual crime scene weapons used in crimes that he took from crime scenes. When my boss and I were on our way home, he told me that when I was with his son, Louie told him that he and other cops would do drug busts and they would give the drugs in to evidence but the police would all split and cash the confiscated. I’m surprised he openly talked about his crimes and never got caught until the early 90’s. He also was in the opening scene of Goodfellas.

She not only accused an innocent man of being a killer, but also the deceased wife, her friend, of being a sleeze, was an actual sleeze herself by consorting with an officer on the case, took advantage of a disabled man and killed him too, and staged an accident of her own mother?

      She sounds like the ex-wife of a friend of mine. She is a licensed massage therapist, who dabbles in "extra curricular activities" on the side. She hatched a plan to get my friend out of the way in order to take over the house and sell of sone of his expensive possessions. Luckily, she didn't frame him for murder....just participating in an online chat with an underage girl (pretty much a death sentence for his teaching career). The bad part is, she has lots of cop friends, due to her "proclivities", so trying to get proof of what she did has been difficult.

This just put us on the map in the worse way possible making the area much more scary for people who go out alone at night especially men. We have recovered as a area but this hangs over us as the police her always fail to keep up. They are so used to trying to get weed sellers not real crimes. This video is like anger management homework in that it's infuriating to see botched investigations, investigations to frame innocent people for murders they did not commit, law enforcement being acknowledged for not doing their job & suffering little to no consequences yet alone any real punishment & multiple cases receiving millions no doubt in tax dollars for having several years of their lives taken away while being incarcerated for crimes they didn't commit, etc. I believe the innocent deserve these settlements & more but I believe if those in law enforcement are not severly punished for letting this happen to begin with its little deterent not to do it again.
    There a limited amount of jobs that people hold in our work place where it takes lengthy schooling to achieve the necessary requirements & training for these positions. They are then held to a hire standard because when they do not do their jobs the consequences are potentially life or death to innocent people. While every job has its share of less than stellar employees, law enforcement & those employed in our judicial system while seemingly not an exception yet very rarely are they held to the higher standards their positions hold & even more rare actually punished if & when they do not do their job to the most minimal standard. Sadly, there are plenty of men & women within law enforcement who are passionate about their jobs & go above & beyond the highest standards, but will always be judged based on the actions of their less than stellar co-workers. Why is this allowed to keep going on?
    This " we'll do better next time" mentality"when it comes to those whose employment can mean life or death as a consequence should have a comparable punishment as consequence based on their reckless or lack of efforts is totally unacceptable & sadlynot the exception because one time is too many. Why???

    I had heard of the 2nd and third stories before, and the atrocities of innocent people being accused/going to jail aside, HOW IS NO ONE talking about the poor dude just walking his dog and finding TWO dead bodies! It reallly stuck out to me when I first heard the story elsewhere. Poor guy!

    I once framed my sister for a murder. We got kittens and one layed next to me while i was sleeping and i rolled over on it and killed it x.x so i woke up and was scared because i knew my parents were going to beat me XD so i moved the body by my sister to make it seem like it was her. Tried to play it cool but it was like the tell tale heart and i couldnt hide the trauma. Bad times.

    Pam Hupp did deserve a mini-series made about her. Because you can't make that crap up!! She is diabolical. I think that word was meant for her. At least now that Russ has that settlement he can give some to his daughters as they were supposed to have gotten. I don't know how any judge could throw out that insurance claim. Because it was false all along. Betsy did not make that insurance policy like that. Clearly it was altered by Pam. I hope that through some legal process, all of the money that Pam collected through her serial murders goes to the families of the victims. That's the least they can do considering they let her get away with it for so long and locked up an innocent man for 3 years. They let the murder of her mother go unsolved with no justice for 2 years even though they were suspicious and had Pam in their crosshairs already.
    Pam makes my skin crawl and also makes me wonder how many victims she really had over the years. She just didn't wake up one day at the age of retirement and decide to do these things. They were so well planned and executed over a long period of time, this could not have been her first round. Just saying.

    Why are polygraphs still even used they are not hard evidence either way and certainly shouldn't be considered as evidence to determine innocent or guilt there's a reason why they are not allowed to be used as evidence in a court of law

      They’re used because the psychological stress they inflict on suspects can reveal much more than the results themselves.
      The problem is when lazy investigators forget that polygraphs are meant to be tools to aid in interrogations and rely too heavily on the results because they have nothing else to go on. This is not how they’re meant to be used.

    That kind of thing aggravates in rages and frustrates me people being wrongfully accused of a crime did not commit is that something that can get under my skin as much as anything else in the world that I don’t like frame ups, villains, real life, or fictional they always seem to commit frame ups just to cover their own tracks matter what kind of occupation they have, or what occupation they already have That’s one of the many reasons why I despise villains always have always will

    After all, what is justice? Some claim justice is blind, some say corrupt. Personally I cant say for sure but I know that there is too large of a percentage of innocent people rotting away in prison due to the inadequacy of what we call the justice system.
