It would be nice to see inside the chapel
You should keep that little bath tub for a dog washing tub.
Does he have a dog? Good idea
Yes. If there’s a boot room able to have plumbing you can put the tub on a platform at a comfortable height and have a great wash up area for 🐕
Or a laundry room, will have the plumbing. That way Doggie will have a place for warm bath, spa time🎉
Great seeing that out of there!!❤ dog bath good idea too😊
Who is Lightening @@elainedreamies7380
Hiring a decent arborist wouldn’t go astray. Especially for the stuff that’s potentially dangerous
You were blessed that the trees went into field and not the drive. And that they were the ones you didn't like a plus. Glad for you being safe.
No stopping you now Phil amazing the storm was mad , same in Northern Ireland, and hello lightning lovely to see you xx thanks for the vlog xx
having the doors between the rooms open makes the rooms so much better, feels airier.
BRAVO! So pleased to see you finally get to remove the bathtub and restore the opening. Well done. WOW! When you said you had a storm with strong winds, I had no idea how strong the winds were. Very surprised to see so many uprooted trees. Looks like most of them were ones you wanted to remove anyway so maybe the storm helped you out a little. So nice of you to always be willing to drop what you are doing to help a friend in need.
Look at it this way you got firewood now. Although pretty soon I think england is going to start heating oil from america. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Congratulations! It looks so lovely with the open walk through.
Glad that the downed trees didn't cause any serious damage for you except to give you a kick start in the right direction. How nice to see that tub gone, now you can walk through from room to room without the hassle of either squeezing or going out to get to the next one. Have a great day and stay warm
Happy for you Phil... you are sounding a lot happier of late. I'm glad. Glad nothing got too damaged in the storm. Best of wishes to you.
Love seeing old man Lightning 🐶. And great progress 🎉
Yes, we saw on the news how bad that Storm was. So pleased for you coming away with only fallen trees that you didn’t like. One thing you have years of free firewood. Yay! You’ve opened up that room and got rid of that horrid bath. Brilliant Phil
Progress!👍🏻👍🏻
Great work Phil!
Definitely enjoying these videos every day
Phil I just want to say I think it's amazing that you that you have taken on the Chateau and are making it beautiful again.
I watch from Canada and often wish I could do something like that,it inspires me. Thanks for sharing with me.
Angelina did a lot of the work she was really good at restoration l miss her
@@charleneguye2258 Im sure you do. Who knows what the future holds much love from Canada.
That looks so much nicer!
Lovely to see Lightning. We had a cherry tree come down, really rather gutted as it was due to be felled by a tree surgeon the following day, only went and saved us £800. 😂😂😂. ❤❤
You did very well in checking the situation around you. When it comes to trees that are covered in ivy, make a plan with someone who needs some wood and ask them to cut it. Avoid hurting your spine. Remember that our independence depends on our health condition. Stay alert and avoid overwork.
I LOVE Lightning! And there are few things I enjoy as much as plucking of "fluffies" during shedding season.
Good Job, 👍 it looks already so much better🎉step by step this Chateau comes back to live
Great job!
That's a great job done, looks so much better.
Ome of my favourite channels, love your chateau Phil 😊
Seemed like a heck of a storm! Glad you are safe! And lots of potential firewood for the future!!!!
Looks better. Nice job.
So pleased u are getting on with that room because its a Stunning room . I keep that tub its neat u could plant some plants in it .
Yay for you ! It’s out !
Please like and share let's help Phil out please. 😊
Such a Beautiful property!! Nice to see the sun shining today!!
Wow taking the bath out has made a massive difference - could you have apprentice gardeners who need experience to help with the garden ?
Its frightening just how much damage the winds can be. As long as there are no trees near the chateau. Please go gently with that back of yours. Good part of the trees down means more timber less cost for power👍 plus saves paying someone, win win. Stay safe 🤗🇬🇧
That little bath would make a good planter.
Such a beautiful property and I love the chapel.
Can you get a tree surgeon to assess the trees and limbs that are dangerous? I’m glad you removed the tub and reopened the doorway.
Nicely done ❤
Brilliant congratulations on getting the Tub out 🤗👍
So glad you not had a few trees down
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Congratulations Phil....job will done and you can now move on. Really happy for you!!!
Phil your joy of removing the pipes was so fabulous. Great job on getting the tub out!!!!!!!
yay you have done it Phil
Phil if you got the likes of Nick & Cameron the tree guys in for a week they’d have your problem sorted. Teetering trees, overgrown foliage & that moat bank problem is never going away unless you get a micro army in to tackle it together. Most importantly I’m very glad you’re safe frm that dreadful storm 😊
Not to mention saving your back, Phil.
@@edwardulrich1515 It will be his back before a work team.
Great you can walk thu again.
Great job, crack on 😂
In Canada we lay a membrane down on top of gravel, then we add more gravel. The membrane prevents erosion and plant growth, not to mention time weeding.
I love this project
Glad the storm damage is not severe. In the north woods of Michigan in the U.S. we call those broken limbs hanging up in the tree a “widow maker,” as they can fall down on the person cutting the tree. Stay safe.
It is fabulous to have that open again!!! Well done! And I love strolling, and seeing, the grounds.
It's nice that u can walk through. Your work is ever going. Stay safe
The miniature tube area is looking so much better!!!!!! It’s looking just about the way it should’ve always been. Great job!
Hi Lightening! So glad to see that cute bathtub out of the doorway. At least most of the fallen trees went in the proper direction. Take it easy on your back.
Phil I’m happy you are posting more frequently. You seem to be in good spirits lately. Keep up the great work. Life is wonderful. A fan from Indiana USA 🇺🇸
Glad your bad weather has passed. I think you sent it to us. Yesterday was 15°C and today we'll have 4 inches of snow!!!! Psychotic weather!
Winter is a good time to fell trees isn't it? Get out that chain saw! Pick a nice sunny day and go to it! Might as well. The crummy days are for redecorating inside anyway.
Congratulations on getting rid of the freaky bathroom.
So glad to see that bathtub completely gone. Great job!
Phil, you are so often helping others, like in this emergency situation. May some flow in your direction.
Well Done. Glad you didn't have more damage from the storm.
It seems a few of us think the bath would be nice for M Lightening. I think those fir trees days are numbered. Wether you help them on their way or not😉😉🤣
Are you calling in Nick? He can knock out the trees fast!
You need a visit from Nick😎
I believe Phil is north and east of Billy in Ernee. Chaumont is between Orleans and Tours, so quite distance. Plus, I think Nick is full-time with Dan these days. There are others in the area, I'm sure. Probably yet another skill Stan excels at!
@@hmeyers5114But, isn't Stan a bit busy with his actual job and now renovating a Chateau himself?
Nice to see Lightning frolicking outside. He’s really beautiful
Big progress today. I'm so glad the storm has passed.
Awesome! Another major milestone done! 🎉
Finally you can walk through all three rooms. It actually opens things up and makes the rooms appear bigger. You need someone to help with getting all the extra growth taken down. I feel you would feel so much more happier with the grounds. Take care of your back, though. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
Phil you could use that bath on your terrace, filled with ice and beer bottles, useful for your annual summer party 🎉
Great progress... thanks for sharing
Yay! Au revoir to the clog bath! 💪
Way to go ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing 😊
PHIL I thought your making pellets for heat?
🇨🇦Are you able to plant red Maple there? They look a lot better than pine trees and you get maple syrup. Thank you for your team. Makes me feel like living one more day.
Open door way well done ❤
Awesome 😊😊😊
Great job phil😊
Having that open makes everything look so much lighter
Looks amazing, u said earlier that u were going to sell that tub. I hope that will happen, I'm sure someone will love to buy it. 🇺🇸
I am actully so happy that teeny tiny tub is gone. Me being a small girl wouldnt even enjoy that tub. Lol
Way to go Phil
The tub is worth money..look it up..Michael uses his daily😊
One hire a tree surgeon
Two keep that tub to wash for a smaller dog or sell to someone who needs for their pups.
Your Reno in the master suite looking good. Just taking time
Luckily all the trees fell away from the road!
Take care of that back..get some help with all those trees! 🇨🇦
Phil my love. Is there anyone that can help with the chateau remodeling? Doing it all by yourself. You will end up hurting yourself. Food for thought. Until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya, Happy Holidays. 🍺🌹😇❤️🌞🎄🇺🇸👍🦢😘🌈🙏🕊🎅
BEST
Are you still working on heating the house with wood pellets? Glad some of the trees you wanted gone were handled by nature.
You need a “ tree guy” like Stephanie& Dan’s Nick!
HEY If you watch it 👍I use it as a bookmark to remember if I seen the video or I missed one
Call Nick and his son from Chateau De Chaumont to take great care of your trees.
👍🤩
That tree top is a widow maker do be very careful around it.
As much as I love trees you should have professionals in to rid yourself of all the dead or dangerous ones.
Avec tout ces arbres tombés, vous allez avoir du bois de chauffage pour tout l'hiver et peut-être faire des pellets ?🤩
Removal of downed trees or removal of old tub and wallpaper. Which will become priority?
❤
Is it possible to run some of those pipes down under the floor? Maybe older homes are done this way and it saves a lot of complexity, like what you’re running into…
As trees do not grow well in France, just remove them and let the native plants that do so well, the ivy take over. It's wide enough for a gaggle of geese to walk through.
Get Gwen or Ryan to contact a horticulture or landscaping school to come down and help you sort the grounds to a manageable level too much to sort on your own. Could be some credit experience in their teaching programs. Sell the tubs online you will make some good cash for them. Glad things are moving along a little. Glad the storm damage isn't as bad as predicted. Glad Lightning is ok and hopeful you will mend soon maybe some treatment for yourself maybe a chiropractor.
Why not approach the nearest agricultural college and offer the students and tutors some practical experience. A quid pro quo.
For felling the trees, some real life experience.
👍
Did the trees fall on your land?
That dead tree hung up on the other we call a widow maker here in the US. That’s a bucket job unfortunately.
Thank you for removing that unsightly “addition”…. She’s thanking you!
How many of those small tubs do you have to remove? I imagine shipping would be insane to The US but I'd be interested in one for my renovation.
✨🌞✨
You need to get Nic from Chateau Charmont to give your place a looky lou!
Dan's got him tied up planting a Garden.
