I wholeheartedly recommend doing the full deluxe album from start to finish if possible - General consensus is it's the best way to experience the songs from Stick Season because of the way all the songs flow into each other and builds the story through his incredible songwriting. It manages to be tragic, uplifting, imitate, confronting and relatable all at the same time. Some of them are sad and slow tempo, some are the opposite, but overall its an amazing experience.

Stick season is exactly what you assumed. It is the period between fall and winter when the trees are bare and no snow has yet fallen. A barren time between two beautiful visual seasons in New England.

My granddaughter has most of Noah's songs on her playlist, so I hear him almost every day in the car. Finally, an artist I've heard of! I really like his voice and the minimal background - love the banjo! Such interesting lyrics and word choices! Please react to and analyze more of Noah Kahan!

The full deluxe album is absolutely incredible so I agree with everyone else that you should do that! Its so amazingly written and the production is just perfect for what he's doing. These songs hit so hard and beware of all the songs with seemingly simple names they hit the hardest
Wow, Jacob I love how you so efficiently broke down production, music theory, and lyrics in one go. That is hella impressive! One of the things I'm really appreciating from listening to Noah's work is that it sounds cohesive without losing flow/momentum or becoming so repetitive that you wonder why some songs weren't cut/reworked. To hear from a pro about how impressively he and his team have managed to keep the interest in just one song with so few instruments adds another layer of appreciation. Awesome analysis!

As much as I'd love to see your reaction to the rest of the Stick Season album, I'm super interested in watching you react to some of the voice-layering effects that he uses on some of the older songs on the Busyhead album. They sound almost instrumental. Very interesting use of vocal tracks, IMO. And true to Noah's style, the lyrics are also well done on the older albums.
