I still have faith in this project. backer# 1,116 looking forward to receiving my unit soon I hope xD. Hopefully, we get a more thorough explanation in kickstarter starter for your next update. we do really need numbers. much appreciated😊
I am a backer in the 300s and took the offer of 110% credit for my investment and paid the difference. It was just delivered so very happy. I was a doubter and understand if other backers are concerned but do feel Yaw are doing their best. This is by far the best version so worth the wait. 👌🏻
@@Loquitaco sure. I paid about 2700 for my original backing of Yaw and they offered me 110% credit of that amount off the current purchase price so close to 3k. I paid the difference 1k plus shipping to ‘purchase’ a Yaw 3.
"The Zsolt" himself 👍👍👍, what a great introduction to Yaw3. No one else but you can present the motion simulator with this level of attention to detail! Zsolt, we thank you for your passion, your belief in the product and your perseverance to make it a success. The Yaw motion simulators are the only affordable devices that can provide this level of immersion. We appreciate what you do for the gaming community.
Hi how does this compensate for chair rotation in VR please? Obviously without a fixed point of reference it would just simulate a person twisting and turning inside the cockpit so after a 180 degree rotation you would be facing backwards in the sim. I had imagined with the Index basestations secured on the frame, that would maintain a person moving in conjunction with the cockpit but for other inside-out tracked headsets that use the room as the fixed reference point, I wondered how you addressed that? For anyone not following my enquiry, if you sit in a spinning chair whilst your character is in a vr game cockpit and you begin to spin in your chair, the cockpit won't move but youll spin inside the cockpit.
I like what I'm seeing and I hope you guys do well. My future plans for VR most definitely include a motion rig, and something like this fits the bill nicely. 😀
we need many more official video from Yaw VR to backup these awesome devices: to begin with, how about an updated game list that supporting Yaw 2/3? (game native, game engine or through SRS? Also, what kinds of games? Quest or PC or SpaceMonkey?)? What about official video/doc repository for game engine/SRS/motion compensation setting per games? InFuse setup and usage video? Thanks a lot
Why the "spin" effect on itself!? What does it bring? To make "donuts" (vehicle) perhaps? For me, when it is not natural, it breaks the immersion! Fortunately it is an option that we are not obliged to buy. Anyway, thank you for this presentation!
Is there anywhere in the chair that would be a good placement for audio transducers? I have a stereo pair of two Buttkicker transducers fastened to a hundred-ish dollar gravity recliner patio chair from Walmart, and I love what it can do for me, both in games and for listening to music. If a Yaw3 wouldn't let me also feel stereo rumble effects, then... it's not for me!
Looks good. Need the racer 4 point seat belt. Also need a user friendly UI software to sync with games like Microsoft flight sim 2024. War thunder, DCS
"We coudn't fulfil all the orders" is an understatement not even 10% of well over 1'000 backers. Wish I had that charge back option when I paid Kickstarter for a device we should have received 2 or 3 years ago lost track now. I still want my Yaw I guess 3 now maybe my great grand children will be able to enjoy it before I'm too old to even use it. I have to admit this model is an improvement quieter and more reponsive. Maybe I'll get mine before Yaw12. :(
Not a fan of a plate in front. Covers the location where the ejection control handle should be, which could be how the emergency stop to power to the seat could and should be.
The only issue I noticed is that the side mount is still flat, so with the seat at an angle the flat mount will be very hard to use. The side mount needs to be attached to the same angle plate as the seat is so that they are the same angle in order to be actually usable.
I understand this is a demo but if you are doing a coordinated turn, it should not be tilted as much as the plane.... what software is controlling the motion?
All wireless but not the display port (could be anyway ok with Pimax 60G Airlink). Missing the up/down movement, I don't think it can be a repplicable sensation with current installed engines. The power of the current engines seems frankly a bit exaggerated: rotation looks like a test for astronauts 😂 (I don't know if anything less would perhaps reduce the selling price). You should really think about ship one to Optimum YT channel for testing (1M subs) since he is seriously embracing VR and he is one of the few youtubers who is really into what he's doing, almost to a manic level
am I the only one who feels this isn't very safe?? Imo that base needs to be much(!) wider or the whole thing could tip over. maybe it's only a "feeling" but....... also, tbh I really liked the fantastic design of the 1st yawvr seat. I knew someone who had one (a 'pro' version? the round one with a tall back), he loved it.
Looking great zsolt. Just wish you guys would get to delivering kickstarter orders. Even just a few here & there trickling out the door, rather than none, other than to people who gave more money to get ahead & new customers. Im backer #91 still waiting & its been a long time
The amount of USB connections for my flight sim rig makes this a non starter. Am I missing something? VR cable, hang from the ceiling? I love the form factor (getting in and out maybe a challenge e with HOTAS set up).
If you were to listen to the other updates yes we we are getting those ones yaw 2 didn't work out too heavy abd had too many bugs. Yaw 2 .1 tas experimental stage and yaw 3 is final product lighter and easier to assemble was the reason for complete overhaul of the yaw hence reason why cost is up from what it was in ks to make the money up that was spent. So is the reason ks backers are on the waiting list full price to make up the costs to ship and make yaw 3 for boath ks and paying coustmers.
This is dangerous. Imagine you are old and there is a bug or virus that cause the chair to spin around at full speed. You will not be able to stop it and you will probably get killed eventually. There should be software limits to how many times it can turn around in a certain time frame. Or there should be an easily reachable kill-switch.
I feel like you need a 3 point harness for this.
Supposed to recibe a belt in kickstarter but don't know if we are going to get them still

I am backer #99 that purchased since April 23, 2021.... Still waiting years and years later 😂

110% credit? Can you elaborate on that

Automatic Motion Compensation > Game Engine + per-game setting video > Movie motion support > Up-to-date Supported Game List (both PC and Quest)
it would be great to have a video showing how to set up the game engine with infuse vr for effective motion compensation.
A really great presentation. Backer #957. Hoping delivery will come through my mid next year for IL2 Korea. And congrats on the two kills. :)
Very bad tune. Read about coordinated turns in an aircraft and what forces you feel then…
Just FYI to anyone interested the YAW team and discord community group are great. Love my YAW3, kickstarter backer here too.

Please make a video using YAW3 and PS5 stating the software used. Thank you.
Well, I was going to buy a Dof Reality H3 sometime next year, but then I watched this video.
Nice work Zsolt, looks like you guys are getting a great product to market. Looking forward to it!

Looks like a self-tightening/loosening harness would be great for extra immersion.

So awesome!
Hope you guys can release a video guide to use the Game Engine and your new software.
would have been quite interestint to see how the chair behaves in a looping
I Love the great work You do, i will buy one as soon i have place for it :)
Aspirational purchase! Hope to be a customer soon!

they have a module you can add that adds up/down movement
Needs Afterburner 2 side plates! :)
Good evening, I have a question: when will it be added vertical ascent and descent ? thanks for the reply. yaw 3 is nice !! good work
They need to add the "heave" gravity platform to raise and lower the seat!
Ca rend bien chez les autres....mais ca serait encore mieux si je recevais le mien désormais...🙁
La plus grosse erreur est d'avoir participé à ce ''projet'' pour ma part.
Ah ouais ? A ce point ?
Vous faites du bon travail messieurs 😊

The controller based motion compensation. Can I use a Vive tracker?
That’s awesome!

Can't wait to get my hands on it
You should make a G-seat to compete with the gs-5 seat. It is the only way to simulate continuous g-forces..
A seatbelt tensioner can also simulate continuous g-forces
So as a kickstarter backer do we get the new version ?

Lol.
I am old and have a Yaw3. Couldn't imagine a happier way to go! (they are about to release a kill switch and a four point harness is wise to use)
