A lost age, what a pleasure to see it. And what kind people to share their treasure with us all. I can't believe they actually drive them for 1000 miles. I'm more accustomed to seeing such cars only at a show, where afterwards they are trailered back to their climate controlled storage.
Instead, it is true. Obviously, it's no longer a speed race, but a regularity race, for the kilometres they travel is the same. For this reason, I love the 1000 Miglia, the best vintage car in the world that cross half of Italy for 4 days. It's all so beautiful to see! 😉👍
Tutto stupendo, luoghi, auto, atmosfera eroica. Un emozione che ho vissuto anni or sono quando andai a Brescia a vedere la partenza. Ricordo un Alfa Romeo 8c che incuteva timore con quel rombo fantastico, possente e potente. Con uno spettacolo simile...come si fa' a mettere non mi piace...il mondo è proprio vario!
Grazie per questo commento. Seguo la 1000 Miglia da tanti anni ma l'emozione è sempre la stessa. Sicuramente è l'evento per auto d'epoca che più attendo con entusiasmo. Poter camminare attorno alle auto, vederle in azione, sentirne l'odore, i motori con suoni d'altri tempi sono quanto di meglio un'appassionato potrebbe volere. Resta la più bella carovana di auto viaggianti al mondo, un magnifico tuffo nella storia motoristica Italiana ed internazionale.
Ottima scelta. Dopo il passaggio della 1000 Miglia, mentre tornava verso casa, riflettevo che mi piacerebbe vivere a Fontanellato, è davvero un bel posto 😉
Non potevi scegliere location migliore, bravissimo anche a zoomare sui dettagli della splendida cittadina medievale. Fontanellato, con la sua rocca, merita di essere filmata. Bellissimo editing, bravo!
Fontanellato è una cittadina bellissima e le auto d'epoca meritavano un contesto in linea con la storia. E' un piccolo messaggio promozionale per visitare il centro storico e la rocca per chi ancora non li conoscesse 😉

Concordo, le auto d'epoca sono pura meccanica, andranno sempre e con un po' di manualità si aggiustano e ritornano a partire. Le auto moderne sono devastate dall'elettronica e sono fatte per durare poco.

Was viele Rechtslenker am Start. Wenn die schalten und Gaswechsel machen zeigen sie das mit einer dezenten blauen Wolke an. Heute wäre es Feinstaub aus den hochgezüchteten Motoren. Damals dezenter Ölgeruch auf den niemand achtete weil Grobstaub keinen umgebracht hat. Die passen aber gut in die PS.Speicher Rallye, da würde ich gerne ne Nase voll nehmen.

In Interesting just how in the first few minutes, very few of the non-British marquee on show were left hand drive, surely all their other output which survived couldn’t have been right hand drive? And call me a fuddy duddy but there really shouldn’t be any cars made after 1980 taking part.
Even in Europe, and not only in England, cars & trucks had right-hand drive until the 1940s. It was safer for the driver to have an eye on the roadside, which is not the case when driving on the left. I don't know why they decided to change. As for the cars eligible for the 1000 Miglia, theoretically, in addition to those that officially raced it in their period, can also take part racing cars in those years and could be registered to compete. Su questo hai perfettamente ragione. Giro l'italia in lungo ed in largo e credimi, spesso mi vergogno nel pensare all'immagine che diamo del nostro paese ai Turisti. L'italia è piena di meraviglie, ma anche solamente per spostarsi e seguire la 1000 Miglia si rischia di lasciare già le sospensioni. Purtroppo il menefreghismo nel nostro paese è imperante, un po' a tutti i livelli e le strade sono lo specchio più lampante. Amministratori, intendo tutti, se volete rilanciare il turismo nel nostro paese, iniziate a riasfaltare le strade e fatele in modo decente e duraturo, non una velina sui buchi od i rattoppi (mi sento un po' Lambrenedetto in questo momento, per chi non lo conoscesse cercate il suo canale, da sempre documenta la pericolosità delle nostre strade).
By using the zoom lens, the camera operator makes it impossible to see the car in relation to the road, and so the video is mostly ruined. Another instance of zoom-lens stupidity. If the camera operator would just leave the perspective alone, we could see the cars.
I'm sorry you didn't understand the meaning of the video. Mine is not meant to be a video solely and exclusively focused on cars. If you are looking for that kind of video, TH-cam is full, all the same, always and only cars, without contextualizing where the race is taking place. If you only ever film the cars, over 400 and therefore it would become extremely long and in my opinion also boring for a part of the spectators who are not extreme lovers of vintage cars, that type of video could have been made anywhere. I mean, those cars could have crossed a road in any country other than Italy, and you wouldn't have noticed. What I had in mind was to show the beauty of vintage cars. Still, this travelling historical reenactment is magnificent, immersed in beautiful Italy full of fantastic places full of history. And I made the video with the eye of a curious person as if it were a passing tourist. I like to show life situations, people sitting at bar tables with cars passing by, people cheering, etc. If I hadn't shown you that the splendid fortress has frescoed walls or that the castle is located in the centre of the village and is surrounded by a moat of water, all this would not have made sense. It would have been the usual, whatever, video on the 1000 Miglia. I have nothing against this last kind of video, but that's not what I wanted to make.

Unfortunately, nowadays, it's unthinkable to organize a real race that crosses half of Italy, the daily traffic and the city centres. However, a historical reenactment is revived every year, and personally, it's equally beautiful; that's okay 👍

Das Fahren dieser Autos wird immer von diesem Benzingeruch begleitet, der mit Öl vermischt ist, und es ist auch die Schönheit dieser Oldtimer 😂

Su questo hai perfettamente ragione. Giro l'italia in lungo ed in largo e credimi, spesso mi vergogno nel pensare all'immagine che diamo del nostro paese ai Turisti. L'italia è piena di meraviglie, ma anche solamente per spostarsi e seguire la 1000 Miglia si rischia di lasciare già le sospensioni. Purtroppo il menefreghismo nel nostro paese è imperante, un po' a tutti i livelli e le strade sono lo specchio più lampante. Amministratori, intendo tutti, se volete rilanciare il turismo nel nostro paese, iniziate a riasfaltare le strade e fatele in modo decente e duraturo, non una velina sui buchi od i rattoppi (mi sento un po' Lambrenedetto in questo momento, per chi non lo conoscesse cercate il suo canale, da sempre documenta la pericolosità delle nostre strade).

I'm sorry you didn't understand the meaning of the video. Mine is not meant to be a video solely and exclusively focused on cars. If you are looking for that kind of video, TH-cam is full, all the same, always and only cars, without contextualizing where the race is taking place. If you only ever film the cars, over 400 and therefore it would become extremely long and in my opinion also boring for a part of the spectators who are not extreme lovers of vintage cars, that type of video could have been made anywhere. I mean, those cars could have crossed a road in any country other than Italy, and you wouldn't have noticed. What I had in mind was to show the beauty of vintage cars. Still, this travelling historical reenactment is magnificent, immersed in beautiful Italy full of fantastic places full of history. And I made the video with the eye of a curious person as if it were a passing tourist. I like to show life situations, people sitting at bar tables with cars passing by, people cheering, etc. If I hadn't shown you that the splendid fortress has frescoed walls or that the castle is located in the centre of the village and is surrounded by a moat of water, all this would not have made sense. It would have been the usual, whatever, video on the 1000 Miglia. I have nothing against this last kind of video, but that's not what I wanted to make.

Ich verstehe was du meinst, die Autos fahren durch viele Städte, versuchen aber auch kilometerlange offene Straßen zwischen den Hügeln und den Ebenen. Schließlich ist es eine Veranstaltung, die sich durch einen großen Teil Italiens zieht. Nehmen wir an, es handelt sich um eine Nachstellung mit starker touristischer Wirkung.
