- Talk’s Ian Collins is joined by political correspondent at The Spectator James Heale to discuss calls for an election pact between the Conservative Party and Reform UK.
Jacob Rees-Mogg urged Rishi Sunak to offer an olive branch to the party led by Richard Tice to boost the Tories hopes of victory.
But both parties have ruled out joining forces ahead of the upcoming general election.

If conservatives want to do a deal then they should stand down and let Reform pick up the Conservative vote. The Conservatives are over as a party.

Reform shd do everything they can against the Tories and get as many seats removed from them as possible. Hopefully no deal whatsoever, the Tories deserve no help for quite literally destroying just abt every fabric of the country. In fact I think Sunak has brainstorming sessions to identify is there anything left not broken and how they can make our lives more miserable and difficult, if so what strategies, measures and policies can they then develop to do similar in those areas. It seems all deliberate to destroy everything.
Well, that just opens the door for Labour to get in then.

If labour get into power, it will be the fault of conservative voters splitting the vote by voting for a non-conservative party: The Tories.
If everyone conservative voted for the real conservative party (Reform UK), then Labour would struggle. The ball is in your court. Reform voters have no reason to lend their vote to the left-wing Tories, whereas Tory voters have every reason to vote for Reform.
Trying to think of a better name than reform, I've got nothing.
If they make any pact that put Conservatives back in power there is not a prayer they will get my vote.

So, why should conservatives, who support conservatism, vote for your leftist Tories in favour of Tory voters switching to an actual conservative party? It is the conservatives voting for non-conservative parties who are to blame. If all conservatives voted for the actual conservative party (Reform), conservatism would be in a good position. The Tories need to dismantle and join Labour, Lib Dems or Greens (where they belong).

The message must be sent to all in Northern France warning ⚠️ would be migrants about the danger of the crossing and that no ferry service would be available to take them to UK.

90% of the Tories are not conservatives. 100% of Reform are conservative. If you are a conservative, which of the two ships should you be jumping on, if you want to end up on a ship that becomes a true and proper conservative ship?
