Honestly, I wouldn't be taking any expensive bags on holiday. Just makes you a target and it is so easy to get them damaged or dirty.
i think about this as well but then why does she have them? or any of us. To sit on a shelf and talk about them. To take to the grocery store??

Goyard for travel, raffia beach bag, Navy LV for day trips/evening clutch and new bag in Milan!
I use my*preluxz* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interio.
Like the idea of a new bag!

@@Wildunfiltered If you are anywhere in Italy, a new bag and a new pair of shoes would almost be a sin not to purchase. By the way, the quality of Italian leather goods is very good that you don't need to gravitate to the luxury brands only. Shoes especially.
Take the Goyard, The Speedy, The Chanel Denim,,The WOC,(or the blue min) If you take the blue mini you wont need to take the Coussin. My two cents and hope you had a great holiday.

I love the design, but I don't have the budget. So I bought the*preluxz* bag. Made from high quality legal snakeskin made by local Indonesian artists. From now on I never want to buy any luxury goods.

All pretty choices Deb. I can only base this on what worked for me on My last trip to Italy. I took my lululemon belt bag for the airport , Fendi dark beige baguette for when I need a nicer bag, black fendi grained leather bumbag from the mens line (I’m not a bumbag gal usually but I am a convert with the fendi one) and I used it every day, and a Dior raffia clutch. So based on that I’d say nylon bag for the airport, pink mulberry for day and walking around as you may need to put it in baskets thru security and they are dirty sometimes. Chanel woc for evening. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Just have a great time!

Hope you had fun holiday - take less expensive ones - you want to enjoy travels, not worry about getting a bag damaged - chanel on the beach? lol sand in that forever - and remember people from all round the world / all different economic situations, continents, cultures think about what bags to take on their hols - it's not a 'first world problem' (whatever that means nowadays bit outdated tbh) nice content, thanks

Oh and I’d take the grand with the zipper for the personal item and the raffia bag for the beach. I would not take the goyard or any nice bag in the sand personally. But that’s just me.

Will you flying? It all kind of depends on the type of transportation. If your bags will be out of your control for any length of time then I would opt for your less expensive and favored bags. The navy coussin bag is one of my favorites. The Speedy is a workhorse, & the Goyard purple bag is a must! Can’t wait to see what you picked!!

I never take my expensive bags on "fly" holiday, too nervous about robbers/pickpockets, lost luggage and ruining them with sunscreen, wine or icecream. No, for the sunny/beach holidays where I go by plane I have two small crossbody options (beige leather or black leather...each cost me 50ish) and I'll also take a beach tote. Boring, I know😂 but better safe than sorry. Friends had their bags stolen before in Paris, Palma de Mallorca and Rome, someone even cut my mums bag open on a bus in Prague to get to her wallet.
It can be dangerous to travel with expensive bags but I also want to be able to use my bags x

Hope you have a fab time on your holiday! I loved that I took my Coussin Pm on my trip in the spring. It was perfect for day or eve and everything I wore. I used the cargo strap it came with as well as another LV strap of mono canvas and leather. Enjoy!

Out of the selection you showed, I would take the Goyard bag to travel because as you mentioned it has a zip to keep everything secure and contained, which is just what you want when travelling and making your way through busy airports and on planes. I personally avoid open top bags when I travel. I would definitely take the straw Biba bag for the beach; it;s carefree, foldable, and you won't get upset if sand or sunscreen lotion gets on it. For daytime wear, I would take the Dior Phone pouch because I prefer a light crossbody when I'm walking around and sightseeing. My phone and cards are really all I need, and even the hotel key, which is like a credit card fits it. I have a lovely chain attached to my sunglasses, so they sit nicely like a necklace when they are not being worn. If you would need a bigger bag during the day, the straw beach bag would do (For those mesh-like bags, I usually fill it with pouches so everything is contained). And finally for evening, I would take the Chanel wallet on a chain because it;s small, not too showy and it would go with anything. You could also use it during the day if you wish. Personally, I would not take the blue Chanel. Although lovely, I would be afraid that it could ruin, that it could be targeted, and I wouldn't feel as carefree, which is what I want to be when on holiday. Safe travels .

I am hoping to buy the purple sequin fendi. This is my question, and I need a very honest answer. Is the Sequin Fendi, only a night bag. Or can it be worn during the day? BTW I’m in my sixties
The sequin baguette is a wonderful bag. I use it mainly for a night out or a day event. I haven’t used it for a casual day out. However there is no reason you can’t wear it anytime you like. No matter your age - rock that bag and wear what you love x
