Amazing video! Starfinder 1e is one of my favorite things ever. I am such a fangirl. This video was very pleasant to watch and seeing starfinder content already made me so happy!
Probably my favourite membero of the Teen Titans, really neat use of the Starfinder playtest, wonder what other characters are possible with those new options.
@@carlflaherty2215 maybe so, but we want to bring as many eyes onto the playtest as possible . The more people play the playtest the better the game can be when it comes out.
A good dm allows for reflavoring so the bug part can be changed. Unless the dm never agreed to you playing Starfire and you're going behind the dm's back.
Pssst! You titled the video about making the character in Pathfinder 2e, and yet this is clearly a Starfinder 2e character 😅 I'm not complaining, but I had to do a double check when you mentioned the race/class combo.
Honestly, my only Complaint here is the "Attribute Flaw: Charisma"... She may not always know the proper words to use, but she is VERY Charming (Literally everyone Likes her, and her being angry at them is like the Worst thing that's happened to Both Robin and Beast Boy in the animated show), and as stated "She convinced 4 Strangers to Form the Teen Titans after having Wrecked half their City" (Someone having problems with Certain Languages does NOT Prevent them from being Charismatic!). Oh and you made some of her her Main skills Diplomacy and Intimidation so Charisma kinda matters... Also in comics she's worked as a Supermodel despite being a Golden/Orange Alien on a world that's Distrustful of all Aliens (Except Superman specifically, and even then that's Changed Recently)... If anything her Flaw should be in Wisdom, she's Gullible as all hell and isn't generally very Perceptive. Also, Intelligence wouldn't fit since she's actually pretty Smart and knowledgeable when it's not about Things Specific To Earth Culture. So Wisdom is really the only thematic Choice. It should also be noted that in the intro it says that Starfire is "Decent as a Fighter" but that is WAY underselling it... Her backstory isn't JUST that she was Enslaved and Experimented on to get her Starbolts, Her Slavery was as a GLADIATOR, and her Masters Made DAMN sure to Get her Trained to be among the Best Martial Artists in the Universe, Being a Better Fighter is WHY they gave her the Starbolts in the First place... Basically, Despite having Strength Comparable to Superman's Starfire is actually THE Best Martial Artist on Earth, Better than Batman, Better than any of the Robins (Yes, even Cassandra Kain), Better than Lady Shiva or Black Canary, All of these Characters are the Biggest Fish in the VERY Small Pond that is Earth, Starfire is one of the Biggest Fish in the Ocean that is the Universe... The only POSSIBLE Match that Starfire has on Earth is Wonder Woman, and that's PURELY due to her age (She Spent a Thousand+ Years Training AND is a Demi-Goddess, She literally CAN'T not be better than anyone that isn't her on Earth)... But I understand why this can't be included into the Build, only so Many points to Go around and getting the Bare Minimum of her abilities is a Requirement, Flight, Starbolts and Super Strength are all Basically Requirements BEFORE her Skill as a Martial Artist. (Also, the Animated Show Shied away from this trait since it would make Robin Look even MORE Obsolete in his team and for the purposes of the show he had to look like he was an equal part of the team on the field)
Wow, thanks for show so much interest. I agree with everything you said. The charisma flaw is unfortunate. We justified it with her being bad with earth language but the choice stemmed from that being the flaw of the only ancestry that could get natural flight on the game. As for the martial arts, you hit the nail on the head.We just don’t have enough feats to go around and the martial arts investment felt more like a Robin thing from a surface level understanding. Admittedly both of our knowledge of the character is based almost entirely on the animated show we tried to do a cursory glance over her backstory from the comics. But the build is mostly based off of the show.
@@time2dice To be Fair, the only place outside of Comics where Starfire shows off her Martial Arts skills is at the start of "Teen Titans: the Judas Contract" Animated Movie (Part of the "Justice League: War" series of Movies), where she basically Humiliates Nightwing in a training spar in front of the other titans, AFTER he's been established as being really good at Martial Arts in the previous movies. So I can't really Blame anyone for not knowing JUST how good she actually is in hand to hand. (Especially if the Show is the only real source, they had to TRY and Balance the characters for that, so making anyone but Robin in any way Good at Martial arts would kinda throw that balance off) I Don't think anyone would Object to moving the Flaw's Location to Say Wisdom. Though I can understand the need for not modifying anything for a character build, since the Idea is to make the builds with Canon Materials only, unfortunate really, given who you were building. Maybe Put a note to say "Move it around in your home game for accuracy, but we're using Stats in the book only!", just to make it clear (I Mean, it Feels obvious to me now, but it might not be to everyone)

Just a tiny Written note in the corner would be more than enough.

Solarian?! Good pick, I would not have thought to use that.
Well thank you! We try!

We are trying to do two videos a week. One video to try out the new system and one focusing on what we know
Whoop whoop, first star finder character!!
Can't wait to see who you make next in SF2e.
We are excited for the new system
I don't know. It may be premature to do Starfinder 2e builds. The playtest is still going - a lot may change in the final.

Ah! Old habits die hard!
Tamaraneans also have the ability to learn new languages through physical touch, though I can understand hand-waving this away.

The first Starfinder video, It's not bad.
Granted, I know almost nothing about the character, but regardless. (●´ω`●)
Or you could just play Mutants and Masterminds
