I know someone that took ballet, and they said during lessons on pointe(standing on just the tips of the toes) the instructor would call out "That is the good pain"
Even though Krill is a medical doctor, and likely already knew each of these factoids before walking into that exhibit hall, there's something to be said for ambiance and presentation. For the unprepared mind, what can be an interesting but dry factoid on paper can be a horrifying reality. Excellent story read. Keep it up!
Fun fact about the carrot/finger thing, not true, bones are very tough, even biting through a chicken bone is many times more difficult than a carrot, and their bones are hollow
Wait till krill learns about the emotional responses music brings, (y’know when like the tone of a song makes you feel sad happy scared or hell insane)
I looked it upp. The guy in this story that bit of a carrot might be a good showman, but he is also a conman because you thankfully you can't bite of a finger with the same biteforce required to bite of a carrot. The 40% stronger biteforce if our sculls where the same size as our primate relatives though is true.
I think it’s interesting to note that humans are actually fairly muscularly strong. We’re made to be endurance predators but we’re still VERY strong compared to most animals. With just small tools we are able to apply a force equal in scale to an ant or equal in magnitude to a gorilla. But that’s not even the craziest part; paired with our downright insane flexibility, humans are VERY good at applying force in ways that most other animals could do but not in conjunction with each other. Not many animals can do a back kick as strong as us while also pushing against something with their arms or having the same bite force as us. Humans are crazy good at applying multiple different forces at once in weird directions. And all of this doesn’t even amount to our body’s ability to push the limits of our bodies for extended periods of time. Even beyond what these videos humorously delve into, like the Marathon runners or the feats in this video, humans, when faced with death or even just failure, will go above and beyond what is needed of our bodies because we are designed to do so, even without prior training. We INSTINCTIVELY have a survival drive that exploits and abuses our innate endurance to perform insane feats at our most dire circumstances. The human body is an absurdly efficient feat of evolution, and it’s so fucking awesome.
Dang I wonder if there's a haso story about that. I've lost somebody close to me to cancer and it's vicious. It's horrifying and if kril thinks this stuff is scary....yeah.
i absolutely love Empryean iris, your the one who got me into the series, ive read all 4 volumes, and i cant wait to hear you read them, i love hearing you reading the story, i cant wait!
Okay, but… all simians have forward facing eyes. Most are herbivorous. It probably helps humans in particular to throw stuff (most simians cannot), but generally the eye placement helps arboreal monkeys and apes use their arms to swing from branch to branch. Our ancestors didn’t start eating flesh until well after their eyes were in front. And if you think ballerinas are bendy… th-cam.com/users/shortsoNs3TkUlalk?si=svP45Ho_BdHSvXG7 I don’t know why I’m finding videos to support the claims of fictional stories.
the other life forms in that universe are garbage. not having to think about balance isn't impressive. every life form should have that. the human's hearing frequency range is also rather unimpressive
Krills on the mark with ballerinas, actually crazy. Mad respect to ballerinas
:Is it better to be feared or respected?
Ballerina: I say, is it too much to ask for both?"
I have a friend who does ballet. I'm going to tell her that ballerinas are horrifying creatures who feed on pain and nightmares
PLEASE TELL US HER REACTION!!
Please instruct your next of kin to tell us her reaction.
Why tell her something she already knows?
Just commenting so I can get updated if there’s an update

For these xenos, a human vomiting would be an insanely hazardous toxic chemical spill
Well, she did narrate a story few years back, where captain and crew got captured by some aliens and they literally spat their way out.
Closest _living_ relatives. Neanderthals had an even higher bite force for scale.

Knowing the bite force a human produces is one thing. The carrot/finger comparison is a whole different ballpark
6:39 Behind and slightly off to one side. Most people can detect someone directly behind them, which ruins scaring your friends.
Yeah, it's weird how sometimes you can detect a subtle indescribable change in the room you're in when you're alone.
10:28 one guy ate an entire airplane.
Yep
I hope Krill has a good therapist
Wrong Krill! Ballerinas are horrifying creatures, fed by pain and love of the art!

THIS IS SO GOOD, WE NEED MORE 🔥
Also damn this makes me hate myself less for being a human
I looked it upp.

Ah yes the "Krill develops Ballerinas phobia" one. I love it, lets wait for April
Tnis is the first one I've caught the day it was uploaded!
Subscribed for the eventual "soul behind the eyes" vid
Another great narration, thank-you

I mean, we DO eat metal in a way...
8:36 overall good story, but I feel like space faring humans would use the metric system
I don’t know what’s better: The art, or the stories. Please keep up the greatness!
I subscribe solely for this series but will check out other works you have as well
YOURE ALIVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEE
WE ARE SO BACK! The amount of videos lately has Been anabselout TREAT!
your announcer voice is pretty good
Reminds me of the early HASO posts about human anatomy.
God I love these so much, thank you for lending your voice to these stories!
I’m somewhat curious what krill’s reaction to cancer is, especially with ifrc this narrative has said that humans heal much better than the aliens
Dang I wonder if there's a haso story about that. I've lost somebody close to me to cancer and it's vicious. It's horrifying and if kril thinks this stuff is scary....yeah.
I guess cancer is common in advanced multicellular life with a long enough lifespan. the way that humans cure them, however...
