    Thank you for this! Mine has had the same issue for 3 years and I gave up looking up videos on it until yesterday, I saw yours and it is the same exact issue I had!

    Crank belt pulley is the timing belt keeper. Pop it back on to run no cover. Check updated torque specs on that crank bolt on final reassembly.

    I hae been don this road several times with my 2 trackers. Those seals do not last it seems on a high mileage engine. It is surpriiising how much oil they can piss out when they go bad.

    how do you torque the cam and crank bolts? there must be a way to keep the engine from turning to do that.

      Took the dust cover off the fly wheel and wedged a pry bar in it

    hey how did you deal with sliding timing belt ? you left it as it was? just put the cover etc?

    • @hoopiemade
      @hoopiemade  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The pully keeps it in place once bolted on. I put the pully on with out the cover to test it. Then took it back off and put it all back together.

    How long did it take you to do all that ? Roughly

    • @hoopiemade
      @hoopiemade  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you had all the parts ready it could be done in about 3 hrs

    How did you loosen the crank bolt and camshaft bolt?

    • @hoopiemade
      @hoopiemade  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cam shaft i used impact on. Crank i had to stick a pry bar in the fly wheel and hold it with one hand and use a big ratchet and socket with the other.

      @hoopiemade  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its the a/c fan. It was just a universal 12v fan from ebay

      @@hoopiemade I use Mobil 1 0w40 synthetic European blend, it has a real good additive package. Look up the testing by 540 RAT, I use it in all my vehicles, 1978 Chevy BIG10 454 (bought new), 1996 Tracker, 2015 ZL1 Camaro and my wife’s 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0L turbo. Also if you want a little more oil capacity a K&N HP 3001 fits with plenty of room and I like the welded nut on the end. I use WIX racing filters on my race car and K&N on everything else except my wife’s car which I use OEM Hyundai. If you prefer a different brand filter you can cross reference the K&N. The oil filter capacity is about double and increases the total capacity from 4.4 Q to 5 Q.
