Welcome to the only scene in pokemon with an extremely high probability to make you cry every time. It made me cry originally and now about 3 years on it's still as emotional.
I agree. I was attached to the storyline of this game like I am to most books. To make a game which has such a deep storyline like a book... ...you have just got to be talented.
"To me you're...more important than anything..." I cried during this ending part. It was terribly sad. And, as I didn't absolutely know anything about the plot, I believed it really was the end...and that the game would have continued using your partner. I was really sad, and in tears.
After nearly 20 years of gaming, I can honestly say I think PMD2 has the saddest ending of all the video games I've ever come across. You grow so attached to the characters throughout the game's storyline and then something like this totally takes you off guard. This is definitely one of those games that can make you laugh, smile, roll your eyes at its silliness, and then really pull on your heartstrings at the end. Without a doubt, Chunsoft did a remarkable job.
I just now finished Gates to Infinity, and... I can't actually tell. I cried harder during Explorers of Time, that's for sure, but I wasn't ready for it. I couldn't know what was waiting for me during the ending, whereas in Gates to Infinity, I was waiting for it. I knew there was gonna be a sad ending, and I didn't let myself be surprised. I had already thought about what would happen. If I hadn't been prepared, I would have cried just as much. These two endings are breathtaking to me.
It would be awesome if you could get the music from this scene. I thought that the music that played in the background of this scene was probably one of the saddest pieces in the game. It doesn't matter how many times I play through this scene. I just can't help crying no matter how hard I try. It's awesome you could record this.
My friend moved away from me but later in my senior year in High School she came back and I was happy. Friends don't go away for ever because they are all ways with you in your heart and if you beleave you friend will come back. It happend to me after I beat this game. I was realy happy.
I had the same team....I did cry..Treeko looks so sad...I loved the story and the ending was probably one of the best/most emotional I will ever see in a video game..
This was really, really painful. After watching him grow up so much, knowing that you were going to break his heart like this - and then watching this be the one Pokemon game with the guts to actually go through with it... the entire final chapter was just constant sobbing.
The ending is sad...this is the first game in a LONG time that's made me cry....it's hard to believe that nintendo can make a game like this so sad. It's hard to believe that your character doen't have any tears while your saying goodbye....
I was thinking at the end of the first PMD - this...is actually quite sad. Huh, I didn't think a pokemon game could be emotional. PMD2's ending however had me FIGHTING with myself not to cry
I cried from the part where grovyle admitted that the main character was his best friend throughout that part i cried

the pokemon mystery series have the sadest ends ever! i cried so long...its only a game but ist really hard to see your partner break down because of you...all the time...the adventure you experience with your best friend an poof...hes away ='(
that was very sad TT^TT and same with part two i really liked the music that played from 00:35 to 2:30, it was so emotional and there was an animation of the tower moving farther away on the top screen when your partner leaves wasnt there lol?
...last adventure with your best friend. You reach the one can mean the difference between the world's destruction/paralysis. You knock some sense into them knowing you just saved your world. But, in a turn of events, you and your partner are almost killed in the act. You start to head home when your body starts to release particles, signifying that your time is over. You must leave your best friend, as your purpose has been served. Afterword, you will never see them again.
I cried at this, this is so sad :/ This is more sad than the rescue team, alot more actually. I think it's because in the rescue team the pokemon who disapeared was origially a human and he only came to do what he was destined to do, while in here, he kind of sacraficed himselv to save the world. Also, the splot is somply more sad made than the rescue team's. Has allways been my favorite pokemon series!
You are the only one I know of. I can see why you like it better because of the more character development but this broke my heart more for some reason.
I was in tears at this. So sad, and even worse, I hadn't checked Bulbapedia (which I did later) for the generic plot. I thought it was actually the end of the game, that my player was gone... forever...
did anyone realise the sand leave where they go to find the time gear the one with the swirling looks exacly like one of the friend areas in pokemon mystery dungeon blue rescue team
My old dog died last week....it was right after I finished this game.....I was in so much loss and pain.....after I finished this game I cried so much.....I set the game down on my bed and shed my tears....my grandma came into my room and asked what was wrong, and I said "Grandma.....my partner I lost without me....and Strider died.....I am so hurt...." My grandma said she would be downstairs if I needed her, and she closed the door. And I broke out in tears again.... :'(
Pokemon doesn't get any deeper than this. Mystery Dungeon tends to be a lot better than the normal games in my opinion, and this is the ultimate proof.
...you are told that the world will be destroyed, and you set out to save it. -Explorer Series only- You meet someone else who convinces your guild that someone is stealing crucial items to the world's safety. You later learn that the "bad guy" is not jeopardizing the world, but trying to save it. You have been deceived. You are told that the "good guy" is really an agent for the one who is trying to keep the world on course to destruction. Continued...
theres a new mystery dungeon coming out on the 3DS. if that game doesnt summon onion cutting ninjas like the last two generations of mystery dungeon games did, i'm gonna unleash my rage.
I just beat this game last week. I was on the last dungeon on Monday, and I got sick so I got to stay home and finish it. I was a Skitty and my partner was Totodile. It felt like the two characters had fallen in love and it was a big love story to me... All well, maybe I'm crazy. But I loved The game.
I was a totodile and my partner was Pikachu. when pikachu cried it touched my heart. When I think of pokemon in general I think of Pikachu he's like their Logo in some respects.
If your friends call you stupid because you cried in a Pokemon game, tell them that some Pokemon videogames can get emotional due to more complex plots. For instance, Pokemon Black and White sports a more complex telling of events, thus invoking viewer's emotions and forces them to play the game to keep them focused. Thus this focus allows readers to sob on the epilogue when one of the characters disappears.
Another sad ending just like the first one. I cried when Chikorita (partner) was crying when Pikachu (me) was disappearing and walking alone still sad and in the beach, cried again when Chikorita misses Pikachu so much she cries again even with Bidoof. I thought it was never coming back since the future has been altered and Dialga revived Pikachu.
okay i beat the game graduated from the guild and talked to mr.mime and rescued scizor and did a couple of missions, and now i want to talk to sunflora but i can't find where she is.does anyone know where she is?i can't find sunflora anywhere.if anyone knows where sunflora is,can they please tell me because it is really hard to find her??????if they can please tell me i will be grateful.and does anyone know how to get the manaphy egg????
...world on course to destruction. You were put in jail by the agent. You are almost killed when the new "good guy" tries to set things right. When every thing is ready, you head off to a hidden land to save the world. Later, the new "good guy" sacrifices himself to save you, as you were his partner in time before you got separated and got amnesia, while being turned into a Pokemon -End of Explorers Series only story- You now know that this will be your last adventure with your best friend.....
Welcome to the only scene in pokemon with an extremely high probability to make you cry every time. It made me cry originally and now about 3 years on it's still as emotional.
I remember this... This, was the 1st time I've ever cried during a Video Game...

Lol I love how treecko walks it's super cute! Plus poor treecko I want to hug him!
I agree. I was attached to the storyline of this game like I am to most books. To make a game which has such a deep storyline like a book...

When i Finished that game i was so sad for like a month man
This scene makes me cry, no matter how many times I watch it.

2nd saddest game I've seen. 1st was Mother 3, played by chuggaaconroy.
I feel depressed that I didn't cry. Because this game has a really sad ending.
XriohuX, I salute you for making this walkthrough a success. Thank you very much! :D
I had the same team....I did cry..Treeko looks so sad...I loved the story and the ending was probably one of the best/most emotional I will ever see in a video game..

The feels of nostalgia >_
Man I actually dropped a tear in this video.....
@pokepuns if you mean the song when the hero is dissappearing then the song is melachony.
The ending is sad...this is the first game in a LONG time that's made me cry....it's hard to believe that nintendo can make a game like this so sad. It's hard to believe that your character doen't have any tears while your saying goodbye....
This made me cry it was so sad. And I almost never cry.
The people who disliked this are heartless and made of stone.
No matter how many times I reset the game... this scene always gets me. Every time.
The first time I watched this witout even laying the game, I cried. not gonna lie. they did a great job with this. the music adds a nice touch...
Your partner is a Treecko. I'm sure that made the scene where Grovyle goes back to the future even more emotional.
i didn't start to cry when i saw this on my game, but when i watch it now....
I cried at this ending too =( Its sad to say goodbye to your BFF. I also want this song to thats playing during this cutscene...
I cried so much the first time I played, and then he came back and I was so happy! Thanks Dialga!!!
I always cry at this part :'( This game....is the best I played in years...
I was a Squirtle... and this and the ending for the first game both made me cry...
The Friendship in this game is actually the friendship that everyone dreams of in real life...
I was thinking at the end of the first PMD - this...is actually quite sad. Huh, I didn't think a pokemon game could be emotional. PMD2's ending however had me FIGHTING with myself not to cry

Man, the text and the faces make you sad enough, but the music just finishes you off! *CRY*
I was reminiscing in this scene and then completely lost control of my laughter when it said "Geico" XD
I'd feel like a dork admitting my eyes watered when I saw the ending. lol
i cried during both mystery dungeon endings (1 & 2) now...
I was in tears at this. So sad, and even worse, I hadn't checked Bulbapedia (which I did later) for the generic plot. I thought it was actually the end of the game, that my player was gone... forever...
This is the first time the player actually talks, and THEN YOU MAKE HIM DISAPPEAR?! This is madness!!!!
did anyone realise the sand leave where they go to find the time gear the one with the swirling looks exacly like one of the friend areas in pokemon mystery dungeon blue rescue team
When i first saw this on my ds i almost cried! this game has my favorite story line of all time!
Mystery Dungeon's 1 ending was sad, but this was even sadder, i almost cried, i was close
It really make you cry!
You know this is one of the only parts where u talk to ur partner without like talking in his ear.
yeah only those who had to part ways with their best friend can understand the ending and have an emotional response to that scene.
Man, the text and the faces make it sad enough, but the music just finishes you off... *CRYS*

It breaks my heart when I see the partner pokemon tumbling over to rainbow bridge

"My time with Geico... ends now."
Ha, good luck finding quality car insurance elsewhere.
