Scanning for stocks where the MACD is consolidating around the zero line doesn't seem to be an option, and if the consolidation only happens for maybe 3 - 15 minutes ahead of the action, how do you find stocks to apply this strategy too?

@smbcapital please make a video on adjusting or rolling 0dte credit spreads. You guys made a video on iron fly adjust into an iron condor with a debit fly. That was such a good insight. You guys had 1 video last year about rolling down and wider. That’s pretty common knowledge, but it take on more risk and hoping it won’t close 5 pt higher.

well the crypto market is expected to do way better than any other equity sectors this 2024 especially with the SEC crypto ETF approval but it’s a volatile market nevertheless and if you’re new to it, it’s best to reach out to an experienced adviser for proper guidance.
Yes, my asset manager advised I spread further into mutual funds and crypto Etf and boy am I glad I did. The whole idea is: Don’t get too greedy and also to exit at the right time, so generally I do find having an adviser very helpful, because what Avg. Joe really has time to watch and comprehensively analyse the market.

Judging from their video, it looks like they are using 1-second time frame in Tradingview. Their video indicates real-time trades

I am so relieved after watching this. So many trading guru’s suck you into their videos with titles like “easiest scalping strategy” and then proceed to babble on about multiple special indicators or convoluted strategy’s that require extensive technical analysis or worse, multiple confusing rules.
I don’t care about understanding price action or where the volume is. This strategy is exactly what I need as an amateur trader just looking to make a few extra bucks to pay the bills.
I can’t wait to try this as I have been struggling immensely in my trading journey. Have yet to get a payout or enter profit due to failed attempts on prop accounts and losing countless money.
Thank you for talking to your views like humans rather than some robot who needs to study charts and spend hours doing technical analysis. This is how trading should be!!

Lol, I backtested this strategy on NQ NY session 5m chart for a whole month and it ended up 38% in the red. It probably works on some markets but not on NQ
Excellent video and trading concept. Something I've been looking at with integrating this into my scalps is "cheating" the MA cross a little by using the histogram. If you know you have a promising setup developing, you can get a much better entry when the histogram starts to converge, before the lines cross. Thank you guys for the great strategy!

Ive been learning/trading for about a year now... Im still standing,.,, i may be weak but im still here. Ive gained and lost it all 3 times now. Great video. Very specific rule based trading easy to apply. Only issue is the lost size besides patience and greed avoidance. I see concept could apply to higher time frama too.
Great video. I've been doing almost this same setup with good results. Also, the first histogram bar below the zero line confirms that the fast line has crossed below the slow line.

I have been using an RSI with a 6 EMA and your setup is spot on the same with the MACD. This works a treat everyone and on any time scale, I use the 8hr myself. Those who watch this video will be onto making a huge amount of money over time.

But one thing I am not 100% sure about. In the Cheat Sheet you talk about entry & exit, when the fast MA crossing above/below the slow MA. But isn't it really the MACD line (which is Fast - SLow MA) crossing above/below its EMA5? Thanks for clarifying.

I back tested the strategy trading 9 lots of MNQ on 3/15/24 between 6 am - 8:30 am only taking shorts. Using your 3/9/5 settings I gained $1452. Using the Linda Raschke settings of 3/10/16 I gained a little over $2500. I will test some more when I have some time using the two MACD settings. The strategy works for me. It is simple which I like. Thank you!
I should mention that I was using the 2-minute timeframe and not the 1-minute timeframe.
But isn't MACD is 4 candles late and by that time for a scalper it's a little too late? What do you say?
Don't underestimate indicators you just don't use them enough to see what they say
The best indicator is price. All indicators are just derivatives of price and nothing more. Even in the examples given in this video, it is clear that if you enter the breakout of the average after the first correction, entering the market will be earlier than the signal from the MACD. If, instead of a signal to exit a trade, you use not MACD, but an ordinary trailing stop at a 2-period minimum, then exiting the trade will be better than using MACD. I describe this in detail to once again emphasize that indicators are nothing more than just a formula, and not a magician that will make you richer. Good Luck.

I started using macd and RSI and it's a game changer for me. The combination of the two is so helpful on scapling. I wish SMB makes a video about the correlation of the two indicators. Also the VWAP and Volume are good too and it gives me a good reaction time frame on my entry and exit.
Try DMI with RSI or MACD....EMA 10 and Smothened SMA 9

@@carllundgren9754 When DM+ Crosses DM- and ADX is above 20 and moving in upward direction or its below 20 but within few candles crosses DM- and moves up it gives more confidence that the movement in price will be bigger. Also RSI should be above 40. My setup is EMA 10 and Smothened SMA 9 ( Which almost resembles MACD), DMI, MACD, RSI with 60-40 line rather than regular 70-30. Also 200 EMA for Size Management. If price is above 200 EMA and all indicators are positive then I trade with bigger size otherwise my lot size will be smaller. RSI is used only for checking if the trend is continuation of uptrend where much like MACD as shown in video. It may seems to many indicator on chart, but I got used to it.

What are the advantages of those MACD settings over the default settings? Looks like it is used on a minute time frame. Is it good for longer time frames, like daily?
Negative people and beginners, yes the MACD is a "lagging indicator and so are EMA's", and if you combine them with some price action, support and resistance, and volume knowledge, yes people can be very successful. Pieces to the puzzle. There are extremely successful traders still using oscillators, and they have order flow knowledge and TPO knowledge and read level 2 data the DOM, etc. Yes the simple stuff does still work with a strategy, r:r and risk management.

I've back tested it on a few fx pairs, and it doesn't look really good. But it might work well on Gold. I'll keep back testing and practicing.
Any opinion if it's a good or bad idea to try it on FX pairs?
Does this work on longer time frames, for example daily candles or is this only for short term day trading?
You mentioned where to place the stop. But wouldn't the faster black line cross down over the red before price moved down to that stop? And you would exit at that cross?
