My thought exactly. When he pointed out he can get the master sword down to 2 hits before it "breaks" and thus deals twice as much the last hit, I was just laughing and grinning.
so you really can hit the eye of dark beast. i guess i gotta do my run again. i had diffrent rules but i got stuck on beast but now i can do it :D i had a really funny way to remove fire blights shield but i cost me my sanity and many hours of my life

Hey Limcube! Magnesis isn't the only way to damage thunderblight when he's up in the air. You can also stasis+ him, and hit him with any projectile/beam.

I tried a one-handed-weapons-only run not too long ago, where I never equipped shields, bows, spears or heavy weapons, and was so disappointed to be stumped at the very last hit on Ganon. I'm happy to learn that it is possible, thanks for the cool video!
This is super cool! Also I think there are other ways to do the final hit on dark beast. If I remember correctly, it doesn't matter how you trigger bullet time for the final hit so you can bomb parry with the right timing to use the parry slow down frames right when the beam would hit ganon.
fun fact, you dont need the boomerang to beat thunderblight, as you can climb the stairs and do a jump attack on the boss. That will make him skip its pillar attack.

As someone who plays Breath of the Wild now this is actually a BRUTAL challenge given the fact there are a lot of ranged enemies in the game and the master Sword has a high requirement to obtain it in this game to my knowledge...I would not even want to attempt this...
The Master Sword Beam is one of the few projectiles that can damage Dark Beast Ganon. The others are Arrows of Light, fired from either the Bows of Light or Twilight, or Ancient Arrows, fired from any bow except for bows that fire Arrows of Light.
I dont think it would work but theoretically, cant you use master sword beam while walking into the arena to deal some easy damage just like the arrow speedrun glitch? Im not into botw that much but I just like these videos so im not sure
You can take it one step further and break Thunderblight's shield with the Master Sword. The blights have a mechanic where they disappear if you get too far away from the arena, and there is a neat spot in Hyrule Castle where you can trigger this behaviour. There is a broken Guardian in the ceiling that you can climb into and chill for a bit. Thunderblight will disappear and only come back when you jump down. He will then imediately teleport and resume the metal pillars attack. But if you spin attack at just the right time, you can break his shield before he moves and end that cycle. He will then fight you like normal, allowing you to defeat him with just the Master Sword. No boomerangs needed!
If you can do blight skip with the master sword beam, you can do all other divine beasts and then do the skip then beat calamity Gan in and finally do the dark beast Gan on fight. It would take a while, but it might just work.
Could you do one of these with the bow of light using the early bow of light glitch? Not sure if it’s possible, or if it’s to easy, but could be cool to look into!
(Side mission in Tears of the Kingdom spoiler) . . . It is even funnier knowing that cannonically Link didnt retrieve the sword until after beating the Calamity (as shown in memory retrieved from Great Deku Tree)
While getting the 150 damage master sword is pretty cool, could you not use the statis plus rune to freeze fireblight, then hit it 6-9 times with the master sword while wearing barbarian armour with an attack up 3 bonus? That would also oneshot him if you got him just before his second phase healthwise.
Hey Lim, you always try to show something really new. This is different from most of the other BOTW TH-camrs who keep bringing the same thing ever and ever, almost copying from each other, it's so boring ... so, you are one of my favourites, keep it up in entertaining us 👍
I think it was gamechamp who found this it might have been someone else but I only know him doing it. If you have a way to get above thunder blight you can use the paraglider and use the air attack from the paraglider so you do the plunge attack you can knock out thunder from his lightning attack
5:00 the TH-camr Gamechamp3000 actually addressed this in their "Can you beat botw without pausing" video. Basically you have to go to the very top level of the stairs, and then jump off and down-slash into thunderblight

A shame dealing the final hit still requires bullet time. At the start of the vid I had the foolish hope a new way had been found that would make the no-stamina run possible... Edit: Ah, I just read about the bomb parry method. :)
i'm pretty sure you can beat darkbeast without bullettime, although it's somewhat difficult. in his laser attack, it opens. use this timing to attack, so before the eye closes you win. trust me, i did this like an idiot.

That may sound more interesting than you think. I would have just done all the easy shrines that are just blessings or puzzles where you don’t deal any damage

Bow of Light has the advantage of being a weapon seen in Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds and a few other games though.

For Thunderblight, you could also plunge attack them to interrupt their lightning attack. So, you don't even need to use the boomerang.
After more than 5 years. It has been done. Killing Dark Beast with the master sword. Like it should have been done in the first place (imo)

Pretty sure the attacks from stasis would stop when its health gets to half way.
another option for thumderblight is something gamechamp did in her pausless run which is to jump down and attack thunderblight from above

you can also attack phase 2 thunderblight with an arial attack if you jump from the highest platform

On thunderblight you can jump from the highest floor and use links aerial down a with the master sword to break his shield
I know because gamechamp3000 used it in his Breath of the Wild challenge
