I think her parents are from Poland or at least Polish American,that might be a reason.She,s probably more European than American.

Her mother was of polish descent, not sure about her father. Stef’s real full name is Stefania Zofya Federkiewicz.

I’ve since seen another video of her talking about her heritage.
On her mother’s side, she’s second generation born American, on her father’s side, she’s first generation american born.
I was also surprised to learn that Polish, not English, is Stef’s native language, cool!
