crazy I remember hearing Gordon's voice when he was first revealed, he's grown so much and the 1st season hasn't come out yet
That's kind of concerning, because they have another 2 seasons left, if the first turns out well.
@@betonkevero6823 they're changing the timeline of the story. Instead of everything happening in a full year like the original series, the following seasons will be after 2-3 years in the series's timeline. They will do this to account for Gordon's (Aang) and Kiawentiio's (Katara) growth in real life. This is to avoid having teenagers play kid roles like Stranger Things.

@@accesstomark I'm happy about this change. It's just very sensible. Hopefully we'll see how the other two seasons turn out. Even if this first season won't be perfect, I'd still like to watch the other 2 seasons with the same cast. The theme looks spot-on so far.
@@IonizedComa yeah. Im glad it was followed by 3 more seasons but we can all agree that the actors' physical growth were apparent and awkward for the roles they play.

Finished it yesterday ✌🏾I personally wasn't really impressed by the acting performances but this was a really cool show to watch overall, I loved the visuals, the fighting choreographies, the small changes in the plot like for example in episode omashu and legends. They did a good job
0:25 it's a fan poster so I found it funny that Zuko's scar was on the wrong side like in that episode of the cartoon

Even if the show isn’t as faithful, I will admit that the cast is spot on. Whoever was in charge of casting did an incredible job.
why don't they have suki in any of these promos, I feel she and yue are a much bigger contributor to the first season than azula who doesn't even have a speaking role in the cartoon's first season

It’s because they turned ATLAB into a marvel series. It’s fast paced, not much character depth or development, lots of the money went into the fight scenes. Can’t have good fight scenes and build for em without Azula 😅😅 disappointed truly

Sorry for my frustration, but this is supposed to be an encouraging comment expressing my appreciation of the cast (and an obvious hyperbole, my fellow smartasses). Y’all are smart enough to rationalize the fact that I’m not interested on negativity (and ESPECIALLY not interested in my notifications blowing up with arguments).
Edit 2: and stop bringing politics into this. Toning down a sexist scene for the sake of a creative difference may not be what everyone wants, but it’s definitely not enough to call people who are fine with the change “woke”. Quit being snowflakes

I think they're changing up a lot of the story. He's not allowed to be goofy and ride the coy fish or anything like that. They took out some of the character development by not letting Saka be Saka, and learn how to be better and put his sexist ways in the background. That's why the original creators left

ngl the cast is pretty spot on , but the series itself i was convinced at first that it was similar or well directed but i'm rewatching the whole animated series and you can clearly see the escense they have taken out of some characters has impacted really deep .

I hope that one day I can watch the live action for a long time, finally what I have dreamed of has finally come true, even though I was disappointed in the first live action, but I am very proud of the hard work of the actors in the first The Last Airbender film... but with disappointment in the end it was NETFLIX who was able to save and prove that the animation The last airbender is our favorite childhood film... Thank you NETFLIX... this time the live action release is very good and exactly like the animated film, especially the actors are very suitable in their respective roles... in episode 3 I really like actor Katara's sweet smile🥰🥰🥰... plus his dimples make the audience even more impressed because the actor is beautiful... Since they took out sokkas character development from a sexist to a women respecting character, I really hope they didnt do this out of ignorance and gave him atleast a similar good character development story.
I am a little bit worried that this is just the tip of the iceberg and the attitude that led to this change influenced way more parts of the characters and the story.
It’s embarassing that we’re still talking about this. I watched the show like 5 times in my childhood and it’s not that deep. I only actually noticed it now as an adult because people kept praising the writers for it in recent years. It was mentioned in a handful of episodes and after the Kyoshi warrior episode, never mentioned again. And remember when Nick runs this thing, they don’t show it in a chronological order. You watch the episode they give you. And as a kid, it really felt like it was done for the purpose of comedy.
All I see here is nitpicking
@@Udontknowmiif you really watched it as a kid, you’d remember how shocking it was when they reached the northern water tribes and women weren’t allowed to learn how to fight. It’s apart of water tribe culture. Sokka going away from that and learning differently is a huge part of his character. He always beleived it was up to him to take care of everyone because he was the only guy left but he was wrong. He meets many powerful women along the way that help shape how he views them. It’s a huge part of his character no matter what age you were when you watched the show. People were proud to see him change. It’s completely normal for a teenage boy to hate on girls. Why take that out of the story, why make it woke? Who exactly is it going to offend?
They didn’t took it out completely and besides that side of him only lasted until the kyoshi warriors

I’ve never heard anyone say that Sokka’s sexism was important to his character until now. Is it a character flaw? Yes. But is it super important to his character development? Not really.
