Hi Vinny, You made some nice progress on your truck build. About the only way to really fix those seams in your gas tanks is to strip the chrome, fill the seams and then repaint with a chrome paint. I'll be looking forward to seeing part 2. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Hey Jeff, curious have you tried any of the new chrome pens? Just curious. Was thinking Vinny cold break the edges then use the pen to repaint, kind of break the edge back then use the pen?
@@steve87thpsap Hi Steve, I have seen others use the pens, but I have not purchased any for myself just yet. I have been thinking of buying one. What you are describing would look much better than just leaving the seam. To make the seam disappear though, I think the only way is to strip, fill and paint with a chrome paint. Have a great day. Jeff
That looks pretty darn good! The semi trucks from the 60's and 70's were not as detailed, but were also fun to build! Look forward to more videos on this build!
hello mark... this kit is what they call a "snap kit" so a lot of the build is snap together... i did not know that when i purchased the hit... however i will be doing another truck build that will be a bit more challenging.. . thx 4 stopping by & commenting.... vinny
Looking good see comments under Jeff. Yeah remember back in the day with the chrome, but you have to remember the chrome plate is plating on the models, so you need to remove that chrome plating, also the chrome doesn’t glue well and you need to get to the plastic.
hi Steve... yes.. i have read the comments ... & i am in the process of stripping the parts i need to strip.. i appreciate the heads up & your comment.. vinny

Just a personal choice you can leave the duel wheels white most trucks use a white steel rim on the inside tire so the white will show just a little info nice job Vinny

Nice progress on the big rig Vinny. I like the East Coast mannerism when you said "Bada Bing" as you were fitting the fuel tank halves.👍
