    I also watch other gurus and use their methods. But now i use yours for my next clients :) Its so much faster and thats why this method should be fine with most of the jobs!
    But for window pull ill use another flashpop with more power + shorter exposure time. This should help to avoid dark halos around windows with the darken layer setting.

      Absolutely it does. You run into issues (at least I have) with relfections when you do this. Because the light reflects off the walls and illuminates the room and you see yourself or parts of the room in the reflection. Its not always the case but its more than 50% of the time. I mean you can of course shoot more flashes from more angles to mitigate it but then you are taking more time, and adding more time to editing to masking out your reflections. I wish there was a simple solution but unfortunately its just the physics of flash and photography we are running into. But yes a GREAT point to bring up!

    I worked for a real estate photography company and recently started working as a freelance real estate photographer. So, I was studying HDR photo editing more and found your video. Thank you for your videos as they have helped me so much.

      Wonderful. Thats what I want to hear. I am not the best at creating tutorials, or conveying information in a way that is easily digestable. Its something I am working to be better at as we move forward with this. But I happy to help and as someone who has recently started this journy of working for myself I am glad youre here and happy that I could help.

    Hi, I have followed your process and found great results. Thank you!
    I tried creating the action that you have but once saved and I bring in two new images and apply the action it fails. Any tips on that would be greatly appreciated.

      What does it say when it fails? Actions can be super picky if 1 step it done incorrectly.

    I've been shooting RE professionally (albeit part time) for several years now, do all my own editing (so far) and have watched probably 100's of hours of tutorials from all the (other) well known youtube gurus - your content just goes to show there's always more to learn and new techniques and ideas to try out! Great stuff Will - I've hit the subscribe button and when you soon reach a deserved subscriber list of +many 000's I'll remember that I was one of the initial 100. Great stuff, I love your delivery style as well as the content itself and eagerly await your next production.

    Dude so spot on in your outro. So many other TH-camrs, albeit great information from them, show us suuuper easy photos to edit. Really looking forward to your future content

      Thank you! Yea and I don't say that from a place of hate or any bad intention. It was always just a frustration. I think its hard to admit that not every situation and composition is easy and simple. Even the best of us can make a mistake shooting it, we can have issues with agents etc. But always showing the simple photos and telling people its just that easy isn't helpful when you are struggling. So I hope to show more edits that are tricky, that didn't work out as planned and how to best deal with that.

      @@WillGayPhoto it's always great to see how others do things. Do you have plans to do a bts while you shoot so we can see how you pack for a shoot and how you work through setting up a shot, lighting, etc.?

    • @WillGayPhoto
      @WillGayPhoto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely. I am waiting for a vacant listing that I have a little more time to shoot vs one that's lived in. Most of my shoots have been owner occupied with kid, dogs and agents present. Whenever I do I will be taking the opportunity to film some BTS stuff. @@mikestewart4733

    Wonder what happens when Vietnamese life standard will grow into a point where editing prices are so high that it doesn't make sense to partner with them anymore. I guess this takes some time. But I like you're style and honesty, keep it up :). I'm from Estonia a little country in Europe. Here professional real estate photography hardly makes sense..

    • @WillGayPhoto
      @WillGayPhoto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We will see what happens. I've really tried hard to find editors who aren't caught in the middle, are charging me what they feel is fair , and what is enough for them. But it's a slippery slope, there will come a point where it's no longer feasible, like everything. I don't mind paying $2-3 a photo for editing or more so long as the quality is there. I'm in talks with a Croatian editing firm as well who is upwards of $6.
      Editors are a pain point for me because I understand how hard this is. And how hard it is to keep doing it. Alot of photographers have very poor attitudes and treat their editors poorly and think anything over .50 a photo Is too expensive. But this is why I knowing how to edit is so important. Because when the day inevitably comes and the market changes I will be able to pivot. But those who don't will fall behind.
      I'm sorry to hear that. Photography can be a tough profession. Thank you for the comment. ✌️

    Take two flash shots. One direct straight forward like you have done. Take the flash and move it down by your feet and angle it 45 up. Then blend out shadows caused by the straightforward flash. Take more flash shots as you needed. Maybe take one flash with reduced power so you don't over flash the close objects.

    • @WillGayPhoto
      @WillGayPhoto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's one solution for sure. It adds quite a bit more work to the workflow. The other issue you'd need to pay attention to is the direction of the light. Changing the direction of it, by lowering it, would make the fill light look off. We want to replicate a natural direction to the light. So it needs to come from above, and from the perspective of the viewer. Not saying this wouldn't work, but when I've tried it, it ends up producing results I was not happy with for my work. The added post production trade off as well was not for me. But all good ideas. 👍✌️
