@SaurianAnimations Well last I checked Oppenheimer is technically responsible for Godzilla's existence. So it makes sense that these films would go well together.
The ending shots being Godzilla admiring the mushroom cloud and roaring triumphantly juxtaposed against Oppenheimer's frozen, disturbed expression is perfection. 👌
Dear journal I sit in my office a broken mess, my eyes blood shot from crying, my head spinning. I learned of something horrifying that is currently going on in japan. A monster, a giant reptile like creature, no a dinosaur mangled and mutated. It has spines like a stegosaurus but walks like a tyrannosaurus. I saw little footage in the theater as it shot a beam that exploded into a mushroom cloud. The same cloud as that accursed bomb. This is my doing, I cannot think of anything else to be the cause. I spent countless hours crying, angry at myself for what is transpiring in Japan. Lord forgive me, forgive me for making this damned beast. I don't know if i'll be able to sleep, how can i knowing that thing is out there. They call it Gojira, a portmanteau of the japanese words for gorilla and whale. But the government here has given it another name... Godzilla. I pray this thing is stopped, if not then my worst fear will come to fruition...total world destruction. - signed Oppenheimer.
I like to imagine in the events of Minus One, Oppenheimer was having yet another mental crisis as he heard news of Godzilla’s attack on Ginza. Probably catalyzing his regrets further.
He would be a great historical figure to turn into a character in a sequel. Have him take the role of Serizawa and be the lead role. The man who made a weapon that would destroy lives, makes one last weapon, the oxygen destroyer, and takes the knowledge of how to create it to his grave to atone for the creation of the bomb.
@@juice2307 it would be even more cooler if Oppenheimer learns from his mistake and burn the every last evidence for oxygen destroyer just like serizawa did
@BoiDamn-ot9gl I mean, He helped North America aka USA to create it, so we all know why it wouldn't be cooler, No one surpass the coolest eyepatch Serizawa
Burdened by his guilt, Oppenheimer founded an organization consists of the best of militaries and scientists personnel. At first, they studied the effect of mutation from every nuclear bomb on earth. Instead, they discovered ancient giants far older than dinosaurs themselves. That organization was called Monarch.
Seeing these two together would do wonders if they were apart of one movie. The aftermath after learning a monster had been created by his own weapon, leaves Oppenheimer in a state of dread and sorrow for knowing his and he's colleagues creation had created this abomination against nature. Now, it was loose on the world, as if the Atomic bomb itself had achieved sentience and became a living thing which was terrosing Japan, and later, could go after the rest of the world. This scene would happen after Gojira's attack, leaving Japan desperately attempting to take it down whilst the US looks on in horror at what their president and scientists have unintentionally created. As panic grips, plans are drawn up as elements of the US Navy are sent to Japan in order to deal with the worsening crisis. Oppenheimer is left there wondering if the The coming of death, destroyer of worlds, was finally here.
It’s kinda ironic that we got Oppenheimer as the first movie and few months later Godzilla Minus One that take place after Oppenheimer timeline. A happy little accident perfect sequel
I like to imagine that in the Minus One universe sequel, the original cast teams up with Dr. Serizawa and they once again have to stop Godzilla from destroying Japan. But he's basically become Doomsday now and cant be killed the same way as before. At some point in the movie, Dr. Serizawa is contacted by someone from America that wants to help stop Godzilla. That someone would be Oppenheimer and together, The two scientists create the Oxygen Destroyer which will finally kill Godzilla.
The monster looks at vengeance & the destruction he causes with pleasure. The man who made him wanted to stop the war, only to cause the end of the world. Japan may have killed the beast, but he will be back. He ALWAYS comes back.
Oppenheimer already felt bad enough of creating a weapon of mass destruction. I would hate to think of how he would've reacted when learns that he also created a monster in the process.
Despite their differences, Oppenheimer and Godzilla Minus One shared one haunting theme…The worst monsters are created by humans. In Oppenheimer, the monster is the possibility of a nuclear exchange that could end the world. In Godzilla Minus One, the monster is Godzilla, the unintended by-product of humanity’s arrogance of using nuclear weapons when those weapons could turn on itself. Like Professor Hayashida said in “Godzilla 1985”, “He is a product of civilization. Men are the only real monsters.”
Godzilla is more than just a franchise, far more than a monster... He and the other monsters he fought are the very embodiment of our times' greatest fears... Destined to haunt us *FOREVER*
A Godzilla movie where Oppenheimer is the main character would be perfect if America wanted to use Godzilla for his original purpose (representing nuclear warfare). I bet if they did it right, that movie would go insanely hard.
I would love to see it revealed that Monster Verse Goji wasn’t always peaceful towards humans, and that he took their threats to kill him personally in the 50s. I like a reluctant hero Godzilla, where he shows up to help, but also comes in judgement against humanity for causing the very things he has to protect them from.
I always wondered what Oppenheimer thought of Godzilla. The idea that the Japanese people would see his creation in Godzilla and the monster would be this enduring example of what he did must have weighed on him a little.
