What use is VAR if you cant get it right in a cup final at 3/3 into extra time. It was an obvious pen, it was not human error. Officials cheated cause the pen was unmissable but they ignored it cause they're Celtic fans!
Honestly I've looked at this decision and it's not a penalty in my opinion to be fair, now time to move on and stop crying I'm sure the refs will make up for this on the 2cnd by giving rangers a penalty for nothing and sending a celtic player off.
to say that Dessers has "carried" us at any point, is like saying your captor was nice cause they fed you and kept you alive 😂 he did his job but made us worse, cant blame Stevie we were clutching at the thinnest of straws for a while there
I know Alex personally, he is a smashing young man, great attitude, intelligent, polite and curious. A credit to his family. He is dedicated to Rangers and his personal development. Anyone who says anything else don't know him. End of
The reason we struggle to produce our own young players is because we make road block signings like Shankland. Give the game time to Lovelace. Give the boy a chance.
Every Scottish club should be very concerned by Maxwell's comments, to brush it off as human nature is an absolute scandal they are not fit for purpose.
@wullstat 1 second ago @Derek....you keep saying player trading model....there isn't one. it's a made up phrase. We've rejected big offers for players in the past and not cashed in and then we allow them to leave for free. That's not player trading that's incompetence. If we approach Shankland (and he's apparently on £3K a week) I'm sure we would get him for a token amount in January as most Hearts fans I know would rather get some money in now as it would cover a new striker or a couple of loan.
Maxwell comments were a joke, effectively " shut happens get on with it" Typical arrogant stuff from a a blazer You employ them to do a job get it done right
What, specifically, was the ‘error’ here? Nobody seems to be asking this question. Was it; 1/ they didnt see the foot on the line when reviewing the incident? 2/ they simply didnt review the incident 3/ they did review the incident, but chose not to go to Beaton 4/ they reviewed the incident but dont know the laws of the game re: ‘in the box’? All of them are sacking offences for deliberately NOT following protocol That is the (what) factual issue … and then we come to the ‘why’ they acted in this way question, which is a bit more subjective but in the end equally damning, particularly given the pattern of such occurrences that has developed over the last couple of seasons … Ask the question … WHAT specifically was the error here as referred to by the SFA …
So i will admit i do not watch a lot of the B team, however here is my two pence worth of opinions on what i saw on Tueaday.......Cortez looked hungry & ran his socks off in the 45 mins he played, Matondo looked like he wanted to be elsewhere. Mason Munn, yes he had a few ropey moments at crosses but he looks a very confident composed young man & could be a big player for us in the future. I was very impressed with Cole McKinnon, he ran his socks off & has lots of energy & chalked it up with a decent strike for his goal. Archie Stevens in the 2nd half ran them ragged down the right & i want to see more of him.....Leon King, i can see why Clement sees him as more of a MF than a CB, his ball play is very tidy but he was very suspect when trying to defend big Celtic moments & wasnt great at there 1st goal.......I agree with Stevie that it would be ideal to get some of the older reserves out on loan betwenen now & the summer (King, McKinnon, Fraser, Lowry & Lovelace in particular)
If Stevie is so concerned about 'facts' he will acknowledge that the referee, and not him, me or VAR or anyone else) is the final decision-maker regarding any alleged offence. There is no automatic penalty for any shirt-pull or other offence, that is entirely up to the referee to impose or not. Indeed we all know that referees frequently ignore some offences for various reasons like it was 'six and half a dozen' between two players or that the offence didn't materially affect the play. These are of course subjective decisions. But it is the ref alone who makes these decisions and that is the most important rule in the game. So it wasn't a penalty according to the rules simple as that!
How does sorry help? Oh we screwed you out of a trophy and money. But hey those refs got next weekend off to sit in their warm houses and think about what they did. The only overhaul needed in Scotland is at the offices of the SFA and SPFL.

Rumour has it, there's an old portrait of Stevie hidden in an Ibrox attic, where he has long, flowing locks down to his shoulders.
All the good guys born in Irvine never age.

We will never win the league punting our best potential within a year arriving these players should be kept to win league and the 60 million.
have we learned nothing? we recruit, we sell for a profit, and reinvest. it's the only way we progress.
Stevie is 41

What utter pish
Rules say use var pal, get with the times
Ah the Rules that s the things that are only facts when it s going against the celik
Stevie, famously, doesn't age over seasons where Rangers win a trophy. As you can see, he ages four years when we don't.
Exactly Stevie for nothing ,yes
There is too much Celtic bias to use Scottish officials in these big games
