One interesting fact is this customization/indeginization of weapon systems are done mostly on su-30 mki platform apart from having this type of aircraft in large numbers in our inventory, the same kind of customization/indeginization is not allowed in rafales Or rather uptill now not much customization /indeginization has taken place on rafale and there are lot of people in our country who daydream that France will give us 100% technology transfer for manufacturing rafales in India.
Shows the value of the Su30 to which we have far greater access than other fighters. Plus, it's value as a platform capable of carrying large weapons.
They have 10 years of order log (and that too after they reach their max capacity which they haven't reached yet) if they want to Indian Navy and Air force to buy Rafales , they have to give manufacturing rights of Rafale
We have access to Su 30 because we funded Su 30 development and we manufactured su 30 in India from scratch

Our AD is full of obsolete soviet KUB, OSA, Tanguska, S125 pechora, Shilka, Bofors L70 of 1980s era which were planned to be replaced with indigenous one like QRSAM, Akash NG, Modern CIWS( not Sudarshan L70 knockoff)

S 400 can never shoot down su 30 even if su 30 is 250 km inside s 400 range because Su 30 can easily change its course and run away after shooting the rampage missile with mach 2 speed
Does s400 need to shoot down su30? Vshorads, akash, lrsam, qrsam etc air defense will be dealing with su30 at border long before reaching s400

@@soumyajitsingha9614 china has a lot more air defence than India. And where will our su30 shoot the rampage missile? Strategic targets are always kept away from borders. And to cross china border is impossible.
@@Hriday-q6w it's not that easy for air defence systems to detect a fighter size objects in high mountain ranges. Even if radar detect object , still it's hard for them to destroy it because a fighter aircraft can easily disappear after tracking in mountains. A aircraft just need to fly at low altitude. It's not that hard for su-30mki to cross china border but at the same time china has the same advantage like us.

J-31 does operate AESA, as it's Prototypes were seen with Klj-7A in 2018 same Radar fitted with Jff-b3.

China is ahead of Russia in Electronic warfare, probably slightly behind USA.
KAAN's Engine problem was sort out before Merging AZM with KAAN.
Now KAAN is just an Prototype perhaps in future, KAAN my have Turkish or British Engines.
It was a time when Turkiye don't have it's own Radar to fit in Light fighter like hurjet, now they are modifying the Mehmet Radar for KAAN.

As I said, TAI will figure out the engine problem while they have Partners (Pakistan, Azerbaijan).
I can ensure you Turks are debating regarding different options (Including Russian and Chinese).
