Analytics tell me that the vast majority of those who leave comments do not watch the whole video.
This is typical of so called "Christians" today.
    The scriptures declare:
"He that answereth a matter before he heareth [it], it [is] FOLLY and SHAME unto him." [Proverbs 18:13 KJV]
Many Christians cannot bear the thought of the possibility of believing something that is not true. That is why they don't listen to anyone with views contrary to theirs. So full of arrogance. As if they are so good, they would never believe a lie. They need to humble themselves, and admit to themselves that they could be wrong.
Consider the verse I just quoted. Blessings!

I suppose the main reason why lots of christian are not strict in pork taboo is that they can't resist the lure of pork, and they don't want to be seen as similar to Muslim and Jews. Eating pork is a distinctive feature of being a christian, catholic and protestant or whatever.

The ONLY thing you need to do to be a “true Christian” is admit that you are a sinner, believe that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect/sinless life and to die for our sins on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice, and to confess your faith in him. Once you receive God’s free gift of grace there is NOTHING that can snatch you from his hand.

That is true but a true Christian should not eat unclean food. Unfortunately many of them do not know that. Back when I used to eat pork i was a true Christian like I am now but I was not living like one out of ignorance.

    • @justinem9215
      @justinem9215 2 ปีที่แล้ว

That's actually not the full gospel truth. You're forgetting the resurrection of Christ meaning he is alive and working at the right hand of His Father. Christ gives us His Holy Spirit that allows us to overcome sin! It's Christ in us the hope of glory-Colossians 1:27. As Christians we are to live in the spirit and not in the flesh if we indeed have Christ. If Christ died just so we could keep on sinning means His sacrifice was for nothing. There is a difference between Christians who actually know and follow Christ being sanctified vs Christians who use Christ's sacrifice as a justification to keep living however they want.

You know it really kind of makes me kind of angry that a lot of the christians would say oh it's the Old Testament it doesn't matter anymore and basically they're saying the 10 commandment doesn't matter any more either then

    • @ul5021
      @ul5021 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Its actually not the same thing. We as Christians follow the New Testament Law and in one sentence, our Lord clarifies the relationship between our Lord's teaching and that of the Old Testament. He says, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. " (Matthew 5:17) Jesus came to fulfill the prophecies of the prophets, who predicted the coming of a Savior centuries before. He came to fulfill the ceremonial law by becoming the great sin sacrifice, to which all Old Testament offerings tried to point. He came to fulfill the moral law by perfect obedience, which we could never give, and by paying the penalty for our breaking it with His atoning blood, which we could never pay. The 10 Commandments doesn't apply here because all of them are repeated in the New Testament and Jesus Himself said in John 14:15, "If you love Me you will keep My Commandments"

How do you explain Mark 7:17-23?
After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.) He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

I was on a keto diet and then I went straight up carnivore. It was a good diet but because I wasn't getting enough fats, I added pork to my diet because it helped get my fat intake. I felt good for a short period of time but then I slowly started to feel tired and drained out. I started developing stomach problems and then after that I injured my neck and that's when everything got 10 times worse. But the good news is that it gave me a lot of time to reflect and to get back to God. I did stop the keto diet but I learned to eat more clean which means giving up pork. I don't like eggs that much anymore because I ate that a lot on the keto diet. I definitely will not be eating pork and it's true they are gross because they literally do not have any sweat glands and they roll around the mud and dirt and they eat a bunch of garbage and they won't even hesitate to eat you when you die. With not eating pork, you have to read ingredients and really research Foods because even certain foods that you think wouldn't have pork in it, it does. I mean I will still eat cows and chickens and certain fish that has fins but pork is not one of them.

I don't know what to believe. It seems like it depends on who I am listening to determines whether we can eat pork. Paul makes it seem like we can eat pork in Romans 14,however, Paul also makes it seem like we shouldn't (sin is breaking the law, and Paul says we shouldn't sin just bc grace abounds). Secondly, everyone has different opinions on what Jesus said. Some say we can eat pork bc of that passage in mark, and others say we can't bc of matthew 5. Lastly, Isaiah 66 prophecies that those who eat unclean animals will be killed. And revelation 18: 2 makes it seem like eating unclean animals is still wrong. Not to mention acts 15 says we don't have to follow the law.
Can someone plz help me understand all of this!!!

    • @ChristopherEnoch
      @ChristopherEnoch  6 ปีที่แล้ว

Sure. Paul doesn't teach that we can eat pork in Romans 14. He is talking about being vegetarian vs a being a meat-eater.
Also take into account that Paul said in Philippians that He obeys the law blamelessly. That means that he does NOT eat pork. If he obeyed Torah blamelessly as he claimed, then he would also teach others to obey it, as this is a clear commandment.
Regarding the passage in Mark. You must understand that it is a fact that Mark has more textual variants than other other gospel. That means that there is a LOT of evidence that if any book was "messed with" or "corrupted", Mark would take the prize.
If Jesus really taught that we can eat unclean animals, then why would Peter STRICTLY REFUSE to eat unclean animals in the book of Acts? Wouldn't you think if Jesus actually said/meant that you can eat unclean animals, Peter would know that?
Finally, Acts 15 does NOT say that we don't have to follow the law. On the contrary. It proves that Gentiles supposed to follow the law. You must understand the context, both scripturally, and culturally.
In Acts 15 the Jewish leaders of the church (the Apostles) are perplexed because so many Gentiles are coming to the faith. This was unheard of. What are they supposed to do with so many people who have never been educated in Torah?
After seeking council with the rest of the Jewish "fathers of the faith", they decided to lay certain laws on them. Even to this day in Judaism, if you walk into a Jewish Synagogue, and say that you are a Gentile who doesn't know anything about Torah, but you would like to be converted to Judaism, they would require that you start by obeying the "Noahide Laws", which are, in essence, the same laws and the same principles we read of in Acts 15.
These laws serve as a foundation, a starting point, if you will. Instead of slapping a Torah-ignorant Gentiles with all 613 laws, demanding they obey all, or be cursed, they give them somewhere to start. They make provisions for "baby steps".
The idea is that Gentiles are to start with those "introductory" laws. But they are not limited to those laws. The goal is that a Gentile ignorant of the Torah has to have somewhere to start. And as they learn more Torah, they are expected to obey it.
The laws that the Apostles demand that the Gentiles follow in Acts 15 is BY NO MEANS the only laws they are to follow for the rest of their life. But it is a starting point. It is exactly the same in Judaism today. The REAL TRUE Christianity of the first century (Bible) IS JUDAISM in it's purest form. The Apostles still went to synagogue, just as Jesus did. They still went to the temple, as Jesus did. The separation between Judaism and Christianity came only after corruption, and heresy came into the church in the 2nd, and 3rd centuries. And this sadly remains to this day.

    Romans 14:1-23 ESV
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.

Jesus said" what God has made, do not call unclean" how much clearer can you get people try to interpret it in the wrong ways. We are not bound by the Mosaic law of cultural, or tradition, not eating some foods may have been the law for the Jewish people but Jesus changed all that, just to like he stopped the slaughtering of the perfect lanb and sent a perfect man his son to us Jesus is the Lamb of God.

I'm not confused. You are. Not only confused, but you are certainly ignorant of the facts.
Jesus never called Gentiles animals? You obviously have no clue.
Why did Jesus call Herod a fox?
Why did Jesus call the Canaanite woman a dog?
Start doing your Jewish studies, mam. You are very ill-informed. You are obviously commenting without doing your homework.
As far as the "new covenant" thing is concerned, once again you show your lack of understanding, and education in this matter. Covenant is NOT law. If you don't understand this, you don't understand the basics of scripture. Covenants are covenants. Laws are laws. Two completely different things. The "new" covenant is NOT brand new as in "neos", the Greek word from which we get our English word "new". Rather, it is referring to renewed, refreshed, or "refurbished" as it were. The original Greek here, is the same word Jesus used when he said that he gives a "new" commandment - to love one another. Anyone who knows anything about the Torah would tell you that loving one another is NOT brand-new. It is one of the main concepts taught throughout the Torah. Jesus was refreshing, or renewing that commandment to the hearts and minds of his disciples. Nothing "new", only refreshed. Know your manuscripts, mam.
If you still don't understand this concept, I encourage you to check out my blog in which you will find many articles on this subject, which you obviously need to read. Space and time limits me from teaching you what you obviously do not know.

Christian still follow the law of Moses we're not cultural followers of the Jewish religion. We follow Jesus's teachings, which are indeed in the Old Testament, Jewish people do not believe that Jesus was sent here to save our sins they don't believe that he was the Messiah even though Isaiah 53 clearly states it and many other places in the Old Testament. So as it stands now if a Jewish person dies they die in their sins and God have mercy on them. God reached out the mankind by becoming a man hundred percent man hundred percent God,God in the flesh. Like I said before Jesus is more concerned what is in our hearts than what we put in our stomachs. Obviously you're a stiff-necked ,Moses had a hard time with them in the desert. It’s not simply that pork is unclean to the person eating it (even though we undoubtedly have better food-safety measures today), additionally hog farms and slaughter houses are horrible for the environment and results in feces of millions of pigs ending up in otherwise clean rivers and streams. The USA’s Niobrara river system and everything that enters that water, for example, absolutely wreaks of pig feces. Eating pork contributes to that sort of large-scale pollution, as well as increasing cancer risks and other health issues for the person consuming it.

This argument always comes down to one thing for me and that’s true faith and empirical data!
    1. If one buys food from the grocery store I can say without equivocation there isn’t a Torah argument justification.
    2. Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef was compelled to issue a statement advising people to wash vegetables by hand rather than consume “kosher” packaged vegetables which have been subjected to heavy pesticide use. We know that pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and petrochemicals are not Torah observant. Yet we see no conversation on it.
    3. GMO foods are Kashrut approved. Yet the animals I grow and raise are heritage breed and are most definitely Non-GMO. I don’t see the articulation of GMO animals feed GMO feed on pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and petrochemicals feed is somehow more better in any attribute then say a 100% organic pasture raised, non-GMO, non-medicated, non-hormone all the hashtags rabbit for example.
    4. According with Kashrut cooking meat in butter is forbidden by Torah. Any articulation would be great.
    5. According to Kashrut any meat that cannot be served on any plate that has every had dairy (butter). I don’t believe I have any dishes that hasn’t touched any cheese, butter or other dairy Again please explain and articulation the efficacy or religious basis.
    6. According to Kashrut there is not a Consensus of months religious leaders on what birds are considered Koser. Are chickens, quail, turkeys, duck really koser? Are swan, geese, pigeon Koser if not please articulate.
    7. Pikuach nefesh: Chapter 82a of Tractate Yoma mentions pregnancy cravings for non-kosher food (the passage discusses a pregnant woman who craves pork on Yom Kippur) as the paradigmatic example of a presumed life-threatening situation where a person is allowed to eat non-kosher food (and is permitted to eat it on Yom Kippur). If a pregnant women craving port is acceptable by Jewish law as prescribed by Pikuach nefeshn how is my depending on my ability to grow my own organic, none pesticides, herbicides, petrochemical, organic, non-GMO food not authorized by Pikuach nefesh. Any articulation would be great.
At the end of the day I’m only asking for articulation and facts I look forward to the conversation!

Why do millions of Christians have this fascination and craving for eating Pork blood? Why are we silent on this issue? the scripture clearly states:- “that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what has been strangled and from fornication."

Yannick Perryman.......... The word of God in 1 Timothy 4:4-5 clearly says it is ok to eat any creature including the pig if it is received with thanksgiving because it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.........." 4 For EVERY CREATURE of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. " Any school kid with a good command of English, will tell you that the word " EVERY CREATURE" includes the pig. Therefore the word of God allows pork to be eaten by the believers of Christ.
Many of these false teachers do not know that because they do not read their bibles and do not know what it teaches. They are merely speaking out of their own ignorance. If you follow the word of God instead of the dubious teachings of man, you can never be wrong because God's word is DIVINE and INFALLIBLE. Always believe what the word of God says and never ever believe anyone who preaches AGAINST the teachings of the word of God. They are either ignorant or deliberately doing the work of the devil, in forever going against the word of God.

Acts 15 was addressing the requirements for salvation. Eating clean is not required to be saved however it is something you should eventually learn and follow. People at the council decided to start the Gentiles with a few Simple Rules abstaining from pollutions of idols fornication things strangled and from blood (Acts 15:20) and as they grow as Christians they will learn the food laws along with all of the other mosaic laws in the synagogue every Sabbath (Acts 15:21). There was nothing in Acts about not eating pork unless you believe they are rejecting all of God's law that was given to Moses in which case pork would be included with other things like not whoring out your daughter, not having sex with your mother, sister, both of them at the same time, animals, the same sex and many other ungodly things. Also part of the New Covenant is that God's law will be written on your heart and the Mosaic law was given by God. It is His law.

The Pharisees were saying that you must first become perfect and then receive salvation but Salvation is for the unperfect. Once you are saved you will have a change of heart and gravitate towards repentance.

The question that started the council was do gentiles need to be circumcised. The answer of the assembly was no. That is the answer they sent back to Antioch. I can't see how you can reconcile that to saying gentiles need to keep the whole law of Moses.
Mosaic law was a shadow of true holiness and righteousness. Circumcision of flesh was a shadow of circumcision of the heart. The temple sacrifices were a shadow of Jesus work on the cross. The law "do not commit adultery" was a shadow of "do not look with lust". Discriminating between animals was a shadow of discriminating between holy and unholy choices. We shouldn't mistake the shadow for real thing.

I do agree that the Mosaic law was a shadow of true Holiness and righteousness so I do not understand why any Christian would not want to know and do it. I believe that Christians should meditate on God's law night and day
Regarding Romans 14 pork and shellfish are not food. What Romans 14 was talking about was that it was okay for strong Christians to eat food that was sacrificed to idols because they know that Idols are fake but they should not eat sacrificed food around someone with a weaker faith because someone with a weaker Faith might think you are eating the food for Glorified a fake god.

I pray everyone realize that Mark is the most unreliable gospel among the "synoptic gospels". There are MANY, MANY discrepancies between Mark and the rest of scripture.
      For example:
The women reported the resurrection to the men (Matt. 28:8).
The women did not report the resurrection to the men (Mark 16:8).
Mark obviously contradicts Matthew in this passage. Common sense should tell you one is right and the other is wrong. But this is a matter of "he said" vs "he said". Does Mark ever make a serious mistake again, contradicting BOTH of the other synoptic gospels - Matthew AND Luke?
The disciples are permitted to take a staff (Mark 6:8-9).
The disciples are not permitted to take a staff (Luke 9:3; Matt. 10:9-10).
Mark clearly loses the battle against two of the other gospels. The scriptures tell us to let every matter be settled on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Here we have two against one. Mark loses.
Don't think these are the only discrepancies Mark suffers from. There are MANY other examples. I don't have the time or space to write them all.
Mark never claims to be a prophet. Neither does He claim to be perfect in all he wrote. He is merely a human, who wrote an ancient biography.
Don't let errors in Mark cause you to disobey God's eternal Word brought to us in the ENTIRETY of the ETERNAL Word.

And your theology... words can't describe.
Take Genesis 9:3, where God gives you every moving thing for food. Forget all about common sense, and all the poisonous animals out there... just forget about them. Forget about the fact that there are LOTS of other dietary laws that God gave regarding what is good for you to eat. Just forget about them. Just take one verse, and forget all the rest of God's law. Just forget about it. Ignore it.
Have yourself a tasty dish of puffer fish!
If you survive that, have a marble coned snail. Remember Genesis 9:3. Forget about the rest of scripture. Just ignore it.
In the highly unlikely event that you survive that, claim Matthew 15:11 and have a poison ivy salad!
Heck, if you are some kind of alien superhuman, and for some reason you survive that, claim 1 Corinthians 10:27 "WHATSOEVER is set before you, EAT, asking no question" and have a nice warm pile of human feces. Remember, the Bible says JUST EAT IT, don't ask questions. That is what the Bible says.
If you are actually stupid enough to interpret scripture like that, I will not be held responsible for your death... because you'll die.
Don't cherry-pick scripture. If that weren't bad enough, you don't even really believe your own theology. Because if you did, you would eat the above mentioned foods, and DIE

Christopher Enoch Who is cherry picking verses? If you are convinced we are to follow laws given to Moses for THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, we must follow all of them outlined in Leviticus...which means we must also reinstate burnt sacrifices, meat offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings, trespass offerings, circumcision, no sleeping in the same bed with your wife when shes on her period because she is unclean and touching her or anything she touches makes you unclean, a priest must make atonement for our sins once a year, no wearing clothing made of linen and wool, no haircuts or trimming your beard, an eye for an eye (which Jesus rejects in Matthew 5) etc., etc., etc. So, pertaining to poisonous things, perhaps you just need to know how to cook the poison out...people eat puffer fish. As far as eating feces...do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You mock me because you want to be better than me in the eyes of God...thinking you will deserve heaven because of what you are or are not doing. Quit being so sanctimonious and practice some humility, thats how you learn the truth you so desperately need.

4 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.[a]
3 They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth. 4 Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 5 For we know it is made acceptable[b] by the word of God and prayer.

    Have you read Acts 10?
9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
And guess what, that's Peter, one of the 12 disciples of Yeshua. Not Paul.

I must admit I'm a bit confused, because many pastors say many different things.
I know that the NT says someplace that Kosher is no longer relevant, and somewhere it is said one is defined by what comes out of the body, and not what you put in. So how do you guys know what you should do?
Also, if you say true Christians follow the holy Torah, you mean they have to keep all Kosher rules. Which means you cannot mix meat and dairy and you cannot eat certain seafood you do nowdays and that you have to slay your meat by a very specific method. So unless you do all that, which I highly doubt (let's be honest) you really don't follow God's rules per se (by your own words).
It really is confusing and I will be happy if you clarify that.
If the NT allows it to you, do whatever you want religiously. The holy Torah is said to be pleasant "and all its ways are peaceful". Which is why Judaism is such a beautiful religion that does not force anyone to join it.
That aside, people should not eat pork because it's unhealthy meat, filled woth parasites and poisenous stuff for your body. There us almost not good dietary values in pork.

Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19 since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?”[f] (Thus he declared all foods clean.) 20 And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

Please confirm your theology. I really need you to verify that what you say is actually true.
Please do one of two things:
      1. Go to the nearest barnyard. Ask for some fresh manure. Like I mean, REALLY fresh. The stuff that's hot, and crawling with maggots. Put it on a plate. And dive in!!! That's right! Dive right in. Forget the fork and knife. Use your hands to eat the stuff. Because after all, according to your own theology, and according to your own comment, "NOTHING outside a person that by going into him can defile him"... make a video of it... and post a link right here. I want to see it. Put some action into your (faulty) theology. After all, Paul said eat everything, asking no questions, right? ... -- so, do that --- OR --
      2. stop misinterpreting, and taking scriptures out of context.

alex marquez Obviously you are running from the facts. I didn't accuse you of taking scripture out of context. I just required you to prove your FOOLISH interpretation, that goes against God and common sense. You are just like all the other ignorant heretics - ignoring challenges, and common sense questions.

brittany. Jesus abolished the Old Covenant and instituted the New one. it was impossible to keep the old one, that is why God incarnate (Jesus) had to fulfil it. we live how Jesus told us to live. and He told us if we live by the Old Testament/Covenant we are damned. He would have died for nothing. please read the gospil of John. love to you.

blair faulkner a new covenant with the same laws, not new laws, new agreement with the same conditions people, why is this so hard. He changed it from stone to your heart. The laws are not on paper anymore but on your hearts! If you ask, yes, yes it is a must for me to repeat myself like that because it is clearest in the Bible and still they don’t get it. All because they’re being self lovers. Changing the word of God to suit their lives. Do as the word says or don’t but don’t change his word, it will be worse for you

Yes, the consumption of pork is prohibited in the Bible in the Old Testament book of Leviticus, specifically in chapter 11. The chapter lists various animals that are considered unclean and therefore not suitable for consumption, including pigs.
Leviticus 11:7-8 says, "And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you."
However, it is important to note that Christians are not bound by these dietary laws under the New Covenant. In the New Testament, in Mark 7:18-19, Jesus declared all foods clean, saying, "Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)"
So while pork was prohibited in the Old Testament, Christians are free to consume it under the New Covenant.

Thank you so much for making this video. I wish more Christians would stand up for this stuff. For the most part I get to verses in the new testament that defend the 'right' to eat pork. The latest one is the Romans 14 chapter which is why I would like for you to address that chapter.

You clearly want to be Jewish you are renouncing Christ and not even realizing.
